Stayed here recently and it was decent for somewhere to crash for a night or two if you just want a bed but - the hotel is nowhere near four star standard.
Pros:
-The boat across from Canary Wharf is super quick and gives amazing views at night (Note: you do have to walk about 15 minutes to the pier from Canary Wharf station and it's not signposted well at all. Also, you have to show your room card to get free trips meaning that you pay for the first trip across to the hotel even if you're a guest)
-The lobby, restaurant and bar are beautiful which gives a real sense of luxury.
-You get an iron and board in the room which is often something you have to phone down to reception for!
-Staff were super friendly, helpful and polite.
-The view from the balcony in each room is incredible.
Cons:
- You have to use a specific lift for your room (which in my case was on the other side of the building and meant an annoying walk through a maze of corridors dragging luggage)
-The room itself was weirdly sequestered with three other rooms behind a locked door - felt like student accommodation.
- The room is small, shabby and hasn't been updated in years. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was passable but there were areas where no love had been shown (e.g scratched paint everywhere around the bathroom window)
-Air con constantly ticking; had to turn it off to sleep.
- Once the boat across the river stops running at night, the only public transport to the hotel is a bus that drops you off outside a pitch black wooded area that you have to walk through to get to the hotel. Not great for safety after a night out.
- I found a long blonde hair on my bedside table - make of that what you will.
Four stars is a big stretch and you're definitely paying extra for the name.

Fantastic stay!
The hotel was perfect , staff were friendly and very accommodating. The free shuttle boat over to Canary Wharf was a brilliant added bonus. My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay and loved the wonderful river view. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again!

Comfortable, Convenient & Great Value – A Docklands Gem 🌟
I recently stayed at the Hampton by Hilton London Docklands and was genuinely impressed. The location is spot-on—just a short stroll from the DLR and close to the Elizabeth Line, making it easy to glide into the city or out toward the airport. Arriving via the tunnel and catching the ferry boat ⛴️ added a cinematic twist to the journey.
Spotless rooms high ceiling, well-ventilated, and blissfully quiet. I loved the bath; perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring and tired feet! The bed was cloud-like, spacious.
Breakfast 🍯 was a highlight: fresh pastries, hot options, and plenty of variety to start the day right. I used the gym; it was quiet and modern with good equipment. 🌟
Staff were friendly think it was Alexasandro, he as very helpful, though a bit stretched during peak times.
Plan ahead if you are travelling out, as you need to match the Ferry timetable or you can just order an Uber, give yourself time.
Lovely walk at night, by the Esplanade, views at waterfront are amazing & not far from the shopping 🛍️ malls.
Whether you're in town for business or pleasure, this hotel is a sleek, modern choice with great connections and a relaxed vibe. I’d happily stay again and next time, I might just take the ferry again for the views alone. Would highly recommend 😍

All in all good hotel. Location ain’t the greatest and service wasn’t the greatest. I’d say this is in the lower end of hotels but can’t expect much for the price. Still clean and well maintained so that’s a plus point
Where to next…

The view from the room we stayed in was somewhat unrivalled!!!
The room itself was a little dated and could do with upgrading.

Really cute hotel! Perfect for weekend trips and the warm cookie on arrival was great. The only issue is transport, you have to get a bus and then walk when you get to rotherhite station - but uber boat is an option. Staff were super helpful even though it was busy.
