Poor services all around. We stayed four nights and had only one change towels and no maid service despite repeatedly asking for it. We final had to get towels and toilet paper ourselves from the front desk. Dirty cups lying in the corridor for days. Noisy and stuffy room with very little air circulation. Not recommending and not going back.

Comfortable night’s stay, Only downside was the musty smell in the lift & on the corridor of our floor

The newly furnished rooms are much nicer than how they were, the receptionists in the morning were a great set of girls

I stayed here recently, as a solo female. I checked in late evening by a male member of staff. My room assignment was changed during check-in, to an isolated room at the back of the hotel. The room was clearly under renovation. I went back to reception to check with the same member of staff, that this was definitely my room, and was told that it was. There was no chain or internal locking mechanism on the door, so the room could be accessed by anyone with a key from the outside. Within approx. 30 minutes, the same member of staff that had checked me in, and reassured me that my room allocation was correct, then proceeded to let themselves into my room at 2230 at night, unannounced and did not knock. I jumped out of bed and shut the door in his face. I quickly called a taxi and left the hotel. I have raised this multiple times to Travelodge customer services and I have not been listened to and there has been no transparency in the investigation process. It is clear from the reviews below that this man is still working there. If you are a woman alone - DO NOT STAY HERE! The response I have had from Travelodge customer services is appalling and upsetting, as well as the fact the man is still working there.

I was not expecting much but the room was pleasently clean, tidy and a good size. No complaints will definetly stay here again if required.

Having booked a non-refundable room at this Travelodge. I arrived at 11.30pm after a full days work to find a member of staff being shouted at by another customer attempting to check in. I quickly discovered, despite taking my money and confirming my booking it is actually standard policy at this awful franchise to double book your rooms and operate a 'first come first served' policy on check in. So they had re-sold my room to some other person who walked off the street before i could arrive. Both i and this angry stranger were now left without our money (already taken and held by Travelodge) at nearly midnight and no room to sleep in. We were left standing in the reception while the staff called around other london hotels to try and find us alternative places to stay, eventually getting confirmed at another hotel and offering to put us (Two strangers - one heavily intoxicated) into a taxi together to the new hotel. How safe. The staff member admitted this was a common occurrence with this hotel and the company, as did the taxi driver who must get a lot of business from them and then agreed with by the new hotel clerk who told us it was common and agreed it was an awful way to treat customers. At the time of agreeing to move hotels we were told we'd get a full refund once we contact customer care. After contacting them, their customer service has since 'sympathized' and offered 'gestures of goodwill' non of which amount to a refund. A company that earned over £1 billion in revenue last year. Customer service is the bottom of their priorities. Book elsewhere, you might end up there anyway.
