This accommodation is most suitable for people who are not fussy and just want a cheaper option in a good location. Overall, I was satisfied with the accommodation because the location was right near Hyde Park and the facilities met my basic needs. The facilities are a bit run down, but about what you expect for this type of budget stay as the ‘hotel’ is actually student accommodation being used when students aren’t there. These are the four main problems I experienced during my stay: CHECK-IN: I arrived at around 4:30pm to check-in and it was very busy, with a big queue. I recommend arriving earlier or later in the day to avoid peak check-in time. There was an issue with my room, so after being in the queue for about 20 minutes, I then had to wait 15 minutes to resolve it. However, the staff were nice and clearly doing their best, with a staff member coming to check the situation was resolved and apologize to me later on. CLEANLINESS: On arrival, I found there were food crumbs left on the desk and floor of the bathroom. The cleaner had left an open soap from the previous stay and not provided a new one. There was also lots of long hair that has been shedded in the sink and bathroom floor area. INTERNET: The internet didn’t really work and I had to use 4G throughout. If you need wifi for your stay it might not be a good option for you. LOCATION: It was an amazing location for getting to tourist sites and has a nearby metro. However, the area is in a bit of a food desert for cheaper options. If you are on a budget, you may not be able to find good budget restaurant options easily nearby.

The school dormitory has a very good environment and is clean. Luggage can be stored for free. There are no supermarkets or restaurants around. Breakfast must be eaten in the IC

The dormitory of Imperial College reminded me of my dormitory when I was studying abroad. I lived near Chelsea for four days before, and I liked this community very much, so I moved here nearby. As a result, I was addicted to it. I stayed here for five nights in three groups. It is close to V&A, Natural History Museum, Concert Theater, and Alliance Française. The subway is just a few steps away from the South Kensington two-line transfer station. The bus takes two steps to the Great British National Art Museum and other places. It is not scary when it gets dark. There is a park downstairs where you can do morning exercises. There are also many places to eat nearby, and you can choose your budget. There is a small balcony, but it cannot be opened for safety reasons, so the air circulation is also very good. For single people who have dormitory experience, it is completely OK. The price is about 1,000/night. Although it is a bit small, the desk is enough, the bathroom is private, it is very clean, safe, and the community and location are excellent. The staff I met are all good. Recommended for single women. If I come here by myself in the future, I will book here without even looking at it.

I was very satisfied with this stay. It is the first choice for business people. I only stayed for one day, but the room was very clean and the staff was very enthusiastic. I communicated with Cassie on WeChat in advance to help arrange the room. This experience was very good

Overall it was okay, the front desk service was lackluster, the wifi connection was a bit troublesome, check-out before 10 o'clock was a bit early, and the elevator was broken during check-out

Located in the city center, the surrounding environment and transportation are very convenient, but after all, the student dormitory, facilities and services are not so ideal.

The location of the hotel is good, there are museums and Hyde Park around. It's just that the shower mixing valve is not working and the water is not hot enough.

Nice, clean, reasonably priced and conveniently located in Kensington. However, none of those things matter if you get pulled out of bed EVERY NIGHT by fire alarms. I stayed here for 2 weeks and there were 9 or 10 fire alarm incidents after 10pm... I implore the Prince's Gardens to fix this or stop offering lodging.

I booked a last minute room to attend BST in Hyde Park - every other hotel was well over £250 so at £100 less than that it seemed ok. I was aware it was student accommodation & the location was great, which it is & is literally the only thing going for it. I arrived confused as the booking confirmation doesn’t contain crucial information - that you check in & are then allocated a student hall. I was dismayed at the length of the queue, and stood for an hour to get my room. Some people missed acts at the concert, I was just late to meet friends so wrote it off as a minor inconvenience & that they must have been blindsided by a spike in bookings. However, on reading the other poor reviews this is simply how this venue rolls. The room was very basic but clean though low on amenities. The bathroom however was dirty & very small. I didn’t feel particularly safe as my check in info said that staff would explain if my room was self locking. They didn’t so I spent the night wondering if my room was secure. Would not recommend.

There are hotels in the local area that are cheaper, cleaner, and many have AC Mould and broken tiles in the bathroom. The grout could do with a proper scrub. The only accommodation that provides still tiny plastic toiletries including a plastic cup sealed in a plastic bag. Windows are restricted to 10cm opening but the windows are inset into deep frames meaning even less of an opening making the rooms hot. Full length curtains further restrict airflow. A tired, dirty and rattly fan won't help cool rooms. It's ok if you need the convenience of the location and can put up with a student dorm room. It is not a hotel despite the pricing.
