We had a concert to go to at the o2 on a Sunday night. We didn’t want to try and train back home so decided to stay at the Ibis hotel. We have never visited Greenwich before so a good opportunity while we were here. Hotel….. Front of house were friendly, helpful and welcoming Room was clean and very spacious. No faults with hotel or room at all. Location…. Great location in the heart of Greenwich. Greenwich park was literally around the corner Greenwich market 1 min walk away. Other sight seeing places all within walking distance. Walking distance to the o2, very pretty walk along the Thames Path. Took 30 mins. Will certainly stay at the ibis again .

Generic chain hotel stay as you would expect, rooms were clean and comfortable, half decent view of London skyline actually. Just as expected, if you expect anything special from a holiday in then you’re insane, it’s a clean comfortable no frills place to stay, standard breakfast, decent parking aside from added cost and all staff were very pleasant so can’t complain, only negative was having to pay an extortionate price for 2 night but that’s my fault for booking last minute when the Laver cup was on at the 02. On that note this is a great location for access to the 02. 10 minute walk.

I found this hotel on Ctrip. It is considered a 4-star hotel. The environment is relatively quiet, and it is not too far from the center of London. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the nearby shopping mall. I stayed here for several days.

If you're looking for a hotel to visit London, this is not the one. To give you an idea : Piccadilly Circus is about 1.5 hours to walk and about 45 minutes by taxi (expensive) and, if you're lucky, about the same by public transport (a mixture of walking, bus and tube... and a pain!) That said, if you need a hotel in this particlar area – which is actually nearer to Fulham than Sloane Square, then you could do much worse. The welcome was genuinely warm and we were made to feel appreciated. Despite checking in the previous day via the Hilton app., no room could be allocated, so we had to check in again at the front desk. The check in staff was charming and efficient and her trainee status was not evident. Our 6th floor room, well away from the renovation noise on the 1st floor felt, however, like a downgrade from the 'Queen' room we'd booked, as it had a double bed in it (150cm) – like Hampton Inns, which Hilton class as 2 categories below Doubletree. For Diamond members – who can expect room upgrades “up to a one bedroom suite” - this could be a disappointment. Queen beds are usually 160cm, doubles 150cm. If this hotel is selling doubles as queens, then I personally think this is a bit naughty of them. Also, despite the hotel stating that their 1st floor renovation work does not start before 9 a.m., they do not mention that the massive building project which half-encircles the hotel, starts well before this time and is constant throughout the day and, by the look of things, is destined to last for a long time yet. The room was clean, the bed comfortable although narrow and, apart from a few stains, the room was adequat for a one or two night stay. I wouldn't like to stay longer, as the bathroom is even smaller than a Hampton Inn – there's nowhere to put a toilet bag and nowhere to hang used towels. The shower unit is the same style as in Hamptons but much smaller than most. The toilet seat was loose and so was 'interesting' when using it, several plug sockets in the room did not work and the a/c and TV turned themseves off several times during our stay. Otherwise the room was well designed, with enough mirrors, work surface, chair, safe etc. and fridge that gets things cold enough – if you are willing to wait about 18 hours, that is! Don't expect a good sleep – the doors are not sound-proofed and are paper-thin. Room doors are also constantly 'banging' shut due to the spring mechanism. The lobby bar is well stocked but has slighly frightening prices. We didn't try the restaurant – choosing a Middle-Eastern restaurant 5 minutes' walk away – but the food we saw looked to be well-presented and seemed to be of the fast food type. The breakfast was, to be totally frank, extremely disappointing. The quality was good but the choice was extremely poor for a Doubletree and, in comparison to the maybe 30 or 40 Doubletrees I've stayed in, is by far the worst breakfast 'spread' I've seen to date. I stayed at this hotel with my sisters and we had 2 rooms. The reception staff was very pleasant, helpful and professional. We arrived about an hour before check in time and were pleasantly surprised as the rooms were ready . Spacious rooms , well maintained and clean . The bed linen etc was also very good . We actually ate dinner at the restaurant and it was freshly made and good value . Breakfast next day was also plentiful. The hotel was quite busy but staff seemed to be working very hard .

I arrived this evening at 8pm after a long journey only to find the company travel agent had not actually booked a room. The hotel was very busy and reception could easily have told me it was my fault for not checking (which it was!) and left me to hunt or a room elsewhere. Fortunately Axel D was on the front desk and bent over backwards to help. He made a call and came back a few minutes later to tell me he had sorted a room for me, honouring the rate from the company travel agency. Huge thanks to Axel and his professional, courteous behaviour. He is an asset to the group.

For us the hotel was quite good. We were there 3 nights. Greenwich station is less than 2 minutes away and takes you to the centre. Overall the hotel was clean. The staff was nice. Unfortunately, the breakfast does not offer a large selection. I was missing more vegetables and more cold cuts like cheese or similar. My son was happy with the pancakes. When an adult pays for breakfast, a child eats free ( £8.99 ). The area wasn't so special now. 10 min walk and you will arrive at Cutty Sark. Unfortunately everything was completely closed on Christmas Day, including public transport. That's why we only went for a walk near the hotel that day. The rooms aren't that big, but you only sleep in them and don't stay in them for too long. Unfortunately, the pillows were too hard for us. We are stomach sleepers and our heads were too high. We didn't feel comfortable without it, so we slept with it and this led to back pain. But that's complaining on a high level, because everyone likes pillows, blankets and mattresses differently and in their own way. There are supermarkets nearby. We always go to the Tesco which is 10 minutes away and bought water and snacks for the evening. We would book the hotel again, in contrast to other hotels, it was inexpensive and yet clean and safe.

Loved it! Highly recommend. Super easy to get into town on DLR, and amazing breakfast. Lovely to watch swimmers go past. Staff really lovely and very helpful. Am booking to go again. Rooms not vast, but not too small and absolutely fine (shared a twin room with a pal).

To whom it may concern I wish to complain about my experience with the Canary Wharf point A hotel on the 24th of March. I was very disappointed with the service and lack of professionalism members of staff showed me and my friends during our short time at the hotel. Firstly, we got told to turn the music down which I totally understand and respected, after turning the music right down we get another knock on the door and once again it was security and a female member of staff claiming we were doing drugs and smoking (which really upset and offended me as I have recently lost a close friend to drug use). I offered them to come and search the room to prove we had no drugs and weren’t smoking but they were having none of it and told us we had to leave. To make it even worse they also made my other two friends leave who were in a totally separate room with no reason or evidence of this supposed drug use and smoking. I tried explaining that we have travelled from Sunderland and would be stranded with no where to stay but I was ignored and told to leave. Before we left the same female member of staff told us the manager has told them to make us leave she then gave us a card with a number to get hold of the manager which we rung immediately after leaving. If our experience with the hotel and service wasn’t bad enough, we then get told on the phone there’s no manager in the building which makes me believe the manager never told anyone to kick us out. In total we spent around 2 hours in the hotel and when I asked about getting a refund I got totally blanked and ignored. I have also emailed Canary Wharf point A hotel to express my disappointment with how we were treated but have not received a reply at this moment.
