Best Hotels near Chaudhry＇s Buffet Restaurant, London

The rooms were compact , but more then adequate. I found the layout of the place quirky. My only grip was the mattress was too soft and there were only two pillows. Which were flat.

We always stay at the Lion & Key when we visit London and have been fortunate enough to stay here again in October, December, and also January for my husbands 80th birthday. This really is the ”Savoy” of the small hotels in London and we always know without fail, we will have the most perfect stay. All the staff genuinely care about their guests having the best experience and you cannot fault the care and attention to detail that this hotel takes to ensure an excellent customer experience. They have a great team of which we would like to thank Giorgio, Kanti and Stephania for making all our visits a home away from home. The rooms and also public areas in the hotel are kept pristinely clean and are bright and cheerful. I love the attention to detail this hotel has even with the smallest thing. i.e. the shower cap in the bathroom also has a small hairband in the box ,which is excellent if you have long hair and can’t find your own! The beds are also extremely comfortable and we both always have an excellent night sleep. We love the open kitchen where you can see all the food being freshly prepared and cooked to order. They are very generous with their breakfast time which doesn’t end until 12 o’clock lunchtime. The choice and range that they offer in their restaurant, regardless of breakfast or main meals throughout the day would accommodate even the most fussiest eaters, which I am, but even I am extremely spoilt for choice as the breakfast menu is so comprehensive. The quality of the ingredients used in the restaurant is first class and so is the time and care in presentation which also reflects the pride that they take. We can honestly say that the breakfast’s we have at the L&K are the most tastiest, freshest, consistently perfect breakfast’s we have ever had and far exceed the quality that we have experienced over the years in 4 & 5 star hotels. To be honest, we often wonder how they continuously provide such care and attention to detail for the customer, even more so since Covid as many many hotels and restaurants seem to still use this as an excuse for a less than perfect service or menu range. We must’ve had over 100 of breakfasts since we have been coming here in 2018 and the eggs are always perfectly cooked with a lovely orange yolk, regardless of whether it’s a normal full English breakfast, or my husbands favorite the Egg Royale. We very rarely eat sausages or bacon at home, but the quality and taste of the ones here are amazing, so we always, always enjoy our breakfast which set us up for exploring all day. The transport links to this hotel are excellent as well. There are four buses that go past the hotel to Leyton underground, one of which is running 24 hours and they seem to come by every few minutes. Stratford is only four stops from Leyton so excellent connections for overground, DLR, O2 etc. Liverpool Street is the next stop along for even more connections so the location we find is a great asset to wherever we

To whom it may concern I wish to complain about my experience with the Canary Wharf point A hotel on the 24th of March. I was very disappointed with the service and lack of professionalism members of staff showed me and my friends during our short time at the hotel. Firstly, we got told to turn the music down which I totally understand and respected, after turning the music right down we get another knock on the door and once again it was security and a female member of staff claiming we were doing drugs and smoking (which really upset and offended me as I have recently lost a close friend to drug use). I offered them to come and search the room to prove we had no drugs and weren’t smoking but they were having none of it and told us we had to leave. To make it even worse they also made my other two friends leave who were in a totally separate room with no reason or evidence of this supposed drug use and smoking. I tried explaining that we have travelled from Sunderland and would be stranded with no where to stay but I was ignored and told to leave. Before we left the same female member of staff told us the manager has told them to make us leave she then gave us a card with a number to get hold of the manager which we rung immediately after leaving. If our experience with the hotel and service wasn’t bad enough, we then get told on the phone there’s no manager in the building which makes me believe the manager never told anyone to kick us out. In total we spent around 2 hours in the hotel and when I asked about getting a refund I got totally blanked and ignored. I have also emailed Canary Wharf point A hotel to express my disappointment with how we were treated but have not received a reply at this moment. The room is clean and very cost-effective. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but there is a good restaurant next door. It is a simple and clear express hotel, suitable for family travel. It is some distance from the subway station, about 30 minutes' walk!

I recently stayed at the King Solomon Hotel for a business trip, and I must say, it was one of the best hotel experiences I've had. The staff were so attentive and accommodating, and the rooms were well-appointed. I particularly appreciated the free internet, which was essential for my work. Very well located offering impeccable services. The room with terrace is really amazing. Good breakfast and bar.

Good location near Russell Square station, walking distance to Tottenham Court Road, Euston (15min). Room is basic and comfortable. Doors slam very loudly and cause disturbance at night. There was a function one night that lasted till almost midnight and the noise/music reverberations travelled a couple of floors up.

Y'all, we will return again and again. We just discovered this rather modest and plain building ten months ago. I kid, of course, about the building. It's incredible. Jaw dropping. And, surprisingly, full of natural light. We came back to London just to stay here. Checked out last Sunday. We had a large, quiet suite. We planned for a five night stay, but the French train strike kept us in London, and our suite was available, so we stayed eight nights. A big shout-out to Irene at the front desk who gave us the warmest welcome and took good care of us. Excellent staff all around. Another shout-out to Emmanuel in the Chambers Club, too. This neighborhood rocks, btw. You've got everything here, plus Cornish pasties and Harry Potter at Kings Cross, Google HQs and the restaurants that surround that, and the super cool Coal Drops Yard beyond that. We did a load of laundry across from Mary Shelley's place two blocks away. I ❤️ London. Any issues were minor and this place gets plenty of grace. The shower is piping hot, but the tub, which might sit next to original windows, could not get hot. The jacuzzi in the spa was cold our entire stay. In the Chambers Club, hot food struggled to stay hot. But, y'all, we were in a massive winter storm, and, again, this place gets grace. Oh, and no merch for sale. I would have bought those hand painted cups in our room. And you cannot help but bust into ”Wannabe” on the grand staircase. Enjoy ☮️
