The Loddon Swan

A welcoming Inn to stay and relax in the lovely Norfolk village of Loddon. The staff are so friendly and unobtrusive and the restaurants offers a good range of quality food and drink at sensible prices. The room we stayed in was perfect and well maintained. Our stay was delight

Excellent Sunday lunch from Jason, Amber and team ! Be hard to better. Quantity, quality and variety was spot on and together with excellent attentive service in nice surroundings. Thoroughly recommend a visit to this venue for locals and visitors.

Neither a boutique inn nor a gastropub, The Swan makes a pretty good stab at both, delivering a combination of good food and comfortable rooms in a beautiful part of the Norfolk Broads National Park. It is, however, first and foremost a proper village pub, full of locals propping up the bar or enjoying drinks in the small patio garden. Situated in the pleasant riverside village of Loddon, in the southern reaches of the Broads, the Swan is well placed for boating, walking and cycling, or a comfortable base when visiting friends has was the purpose of our visit. We had a standard room in the adjacent annex the room was spacious, clean and had been sympathetically refurbished and styled to enhance the character of the listed building. Although the breakfast choices were limited it was generously portioned, well cooked and served by friendly efficient staff. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Wow! Had an overnight stay at the Swan with dinner & breakfast included. From the initial welcome at reception, to checking out, the Swan was faultless! All the staff we met were friendly, calm & quietly efficient in all areas. The room was spotlessly clean with a great shower and extremely comfy bed. The whole styling of the Swan was understated, but very charming and tasteful. The food at dinner was absolutely delicious, we had Halloumi Pitta and Mackerel to start, followed by Fish & Chips and Beetroot with Goats Cheese Burger. For dessert Chocolate Ganache with Blood Orange Sorbet. Again the breakfast was superb, 1 full English and 1 Vegetarian Cooked Breakfast, with toast, orange juice, tea, yogurt and fresh fruit. There were also cereals which we didn't have. We will definitely return and are planning a large family get together at the Swan for next year. You will not be disappointed if you visit the Swan it hits just the right note for us!

Lovely hotel, the room is nice, clean and big, the bathroom is good, excellent bed and dawn pillows which are very confortable. Breakfast really good, nice coffee and excellent service. Would definitely return if I am in the area, great location for Loddon.

A very clean,bright,fresh,stylish,yet still traditional decor.Everything you need to hand.Helpful & friendly staff.Lovely breakfast.Situated with access to the river & amenities nearby.Highly recommend it.

Great location for exploring Norfolk and Suffolk plus immaculately clean room with great breakfast, really comfortable bed (actually more comfortable than home - would love to know what make the mattress is!), and very friendly and helpful staff. Would also recommend eating in the pub at least one night as our meal was also really good. Even though the rooms are right next to the pub with the windows closed you cannot hear a thing!

Hadn't used the Swan before - imposing building in centre of Loddon . Bar full of locals always a good sign. Entering from the car park at the rear the outside seating very nice indeed. Had booked a table lucky we did dining room was full on a Wednesday. Staff welcoming and courteous and more importantly very experienced and knowledgeable despite some being quite young. We both had sea bass on bed of samphire and new potatoes - excellent, followed by a pudding to share and cheese and biscuits to share ( waitress didn't bat a eyelid) with two glasses of port. Nice to see the correct measure of port - so many places try to give you a spirit measure. All round excellent service
