Hotel Samba

Where do I start? Rooms tiny no phone bathroom claustrophobic. Food COLD AND TASTELESS. Entertainment poor.only Spanish dancers twice oriental dancer twice and a dodgy magic act one over a 2 week stay. No umbrellas at the pool. This hotel was FULL of youths coming in every couple of days no supervision running up and down corridors all night knocking on people's doors ALL NIGHT. The only thing that had a positive was the bar staff. Had to get dressed to come down at night to complain about the noise as no phone in room. All in all the worse holiday I've ever had.

Where do I start! Check in was ok, but we wasn’t advised where anything was on arrival. I like most foods, and will try new things but I struggled & didn’t think it was very nice at all, and some of it was cold! They seem to bring out fresh food and put it on top of the food already there and give it a mix! Glasses, cups and cutlery were not clean & you had to search through for a clean one! One restaurant worker (Gabriella) was so rude each time we went, never smiled & rolled her eyes at me when I asked for a clean glass! My room didn’t have any drinking facilities or even a small fridge to keep water in. The room phone didn’t work. I found two large pieces of plastic in some fish, made the manager aware, he went into the kitchen with it, but didn’t come and apologies to me. Entertainment was the same everyday by the pool. There was an issue where the water went off in rooms from first thing one morning so you couldn’t shower or brush your teeth or flush the toilet, this is was until around 6pm when it came back on, but the water didn’t get warm until about 8pm! The drinking system for all inclusive is ridiculous. They also don’t sell anything alcoholic but beer at the pool bar, so you had to take a fair walk to get something different at another bar, I’m not one to moan usually, but it was one thing after another. On a positive note Robert on the bar inside was very happy to help, and always smiling! Emma on the pool bar was to very nice.

Okay,just. Hotel is extremely busy with teenage summer camps. Breakfast was good but very busy. Some staff nice but some are very abrupt,we struggled to get any boiled water for babies bottles, it proved very difficult and staff were not very accommodating.

We only stayed for an hour before leaving and booking another hotel. Check in was shambolic due to the huge number of youth groups staying there. The rooms were small and dingy, the pool was overcrowded with large groups of unsupervised youths. Children were climbing over balconies and knocking on room doors in the corridor. It felt unsafe and a little intimidating. All in all not what was advertised or expected. Book with caution! It took us nearly 2 hours to find parking, which was a 20 minute walk away, and the area seemed run down and was a good 20 minute walk to the nearest beach.

Brought my partner away for a few days to Lloret de mar and have to say i have stayed in hostels 20yrs ago that were better, the rooms are filthy and in need of refurbishment, bathroom filthy, no covers on the beds, there were scores of teens running around at all hours singing and shouting, This was a package deal and had half board which we availed of the first day only, the food was a disgrace, the breakfast was swimming in grease and was pre-cooked the evening "meal" was a choice of a pasta dish or spag-bol, neither edible. Situated a few minutes from the beach and central is the only thing this place has going for it,

Enjoyed this holiday stay all inclusive was good value had good fun with other guests and the staff were very good adult games were fun.pool lovely.will come again.
