My mother has Alzheimers and this week was a difficult one. I could not settle my mother and swas refusing to go in the house or stay with me or any other family, she was agitated and very confused, at the end of my tether my last resort Instead of driving around all night was to book a Premier inn. I've only used a Premier inn once ot twice before and I was under the impression bookings were cheap. Sadly not it cost £122 for 1 night without breakfast. I'd understand if we were in a city. But Llantrisant for a Wed night???? Extortionate for what u get. But on a positive, i have to say how amazing the staff were on reception. The lady who booked us is was extremely sensitive and caring, I'm assuming I must have looked distressed and tired as she took the time to ask if I was OK. Very simple gesture that meant a lot. I explained the circumstances and as my mother has Mobility issues she also arranged for a room on first floor near reception desk One of the conditions with Alzheimers is they wander and, again staff were incredible and took care of my mum when they found her wandering early hours of the morning and brought her back to our room. They were gentle. Caring and nothing was too much trouble. So thank you from the bottom of my heart.
