Myself and my brother stayed here from 4th August - 7th August. We had a really enjoyable stay. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The kitchenette area worked very well for us on the Saturday evening, when we stayed in for the night. However, there was an issue with the water pressure in the kitchen tap. It kept making a juddering noise, which might need looking into. The beds were very comfortable and we both slept very well. The shower room must have had a recent refurbishment as it was very modern and functional. We watched a bit of the TV in the room. However, we had an issue trying to access Netflix and more of the smart TV apps. The WiFi in the room worked very well, even when signal was patchy throughout the hotel site. The facilities were exceptional. Myself and my brother enjoyed using the swimming pool, gym, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. On the Friday, we practically had the swimming pool to ourselves during our swimming slot. On the Saturday and Sunday, it was a little busier, but we still managed to use most of the leisure facilities. My brother in particular loved the gym. It was a shame that one guest chose to hog the treadmill for the entirety of our gym session (45 minutes). It might be worth having a sign encouraging guests to be more courteous to others who want to use the gym apparatus. I understand guests have a gym regime, however they should exercise courtesy to other gym users. My only critique regarding the leisure facilities was that it costs £1 each time to use the jacuzzi for 8/9 minutes. This really should be included in the rest of the leisure facilities that are free of charge. If not, guests need to be made well aware of this in advance (as we had no pound coins on us upon arrival, so had to exchange a note at reception). The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The reception, bar and waiting staff as well as the cleaner were all so lovely and made us feel very much at home. They were very approachable and were happy to answer any questions that we had about our stay. The food was lovely. The breakfasts each morning were delicious. I most enjoyed the Welsh breakfast. You could taste the quality in the sausage and bacon, and you could tell that they were locally sourced. I also want to mention the yoghurts too. They were delicious. They were so nice that I wanted to take a batch of them home lol! On Friday, we had our dinner at the restaurant on site which was very tasty. The restaurant had a good choice of food options, and the staff were very attentive and polite. My brother enjoyed his fish and chips, and I enjoyed my duck noodles. We found that the hotel was situated in a great location. It was only a 20 minute walk to Llanrhystud, where we had a pub meal at the Black Lion on Sunday evening. It was also only a 40-45 minute walk to the beach at Llanrhystud, of which, we visited on Sunday afternoon. This place is also dog-friendly which is lovely to see. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ou

Our first time to Penrhos Park. We were greeted with a warm welcome. The reception staff, bar and restaurant staff are friendly and happy to help with any questions or requests. Would recommend having a meal at the restaurant. Great menu with plenty of choice. Nice views overlooking the golf course. Lovely seating outside. The caravan was clean and tidy. The bed is so comfortable. No problem sleeping. All modern amenities. The location is great for travelling to Aberystwyth and surrounding areas. The park is nice and quiet at all times. Just what we needed. Thank you to Eirwen who works on Reception for being so welcoming. Will definitely see you again soon. Thank You

We booked a last minute stop over on our long drive back home after a week in Wales. We stay in the hotel part, and checked in at approximately 6:30-7pm, it wasn’t sign posted at all so took some getting to the right place. We were told they couldn’t seat us for food as they were too busy (all tables were empty except 2 or 3) we then asked about a takeaway as it stated it was available until 9pm but apparently the chef had said no takeaways. At 7 months pregnant and after a long day of driving this wasn’t the news I’d hoped for, after another few people asking for takeaway the chef decided to do some and we finally got a pizza and some Parmesan fries, the pizza was thinner than paper and the chips had a tiny sprinkle of cheese on the and all for the cost of £20! We were then told we couldn’t eat the food in the bar area and had to go outside or bk to our rooms. The room walls were as thin as the pizza so we heard every little noise in the corridor. Overall not a great experience and wouldn’t recommend.

Booked Osprey VIP Lodge. Very nice place to stay and would happily visit again. Good sized house fitted the 4 adults and 2 kids perfectly. Nice and clean, access to indoor swimming pool a bonus. Few small things holding it back from being 5 stsr: - no hand soap provided (in these post covid days this seems unusual) - should provide option of twin or double bed, the rooms are big enough for flexible beds - shower over bath didn't work - bath plug didn't fit properly so bath slowly drained - very strict check in / check out times All minor things, but if resolved could be 5 star

A group of golfing friends enjoyed an overnight stay and two days of golf. The accommodation, food and facilities were excellent. The rooms large and fitted out with mini kitchen and fridge. It was a little chilly but room soon warmed up. Our evening meal and breakfast of high standard and staff extremely pleasant. The drying facility for golf gear was very useful in the rather rainy weather. We would love to come back maybe a bit earlier in the year.

Stayed just for one night while we was dropping daughter to Aberystwyth university. Very quiet location, beautiful views around. We stayed in hotel room, what was very spacious, very clean….had a nice modern shower. The staff of hotel was very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our breakfast as well, the only down side was the coffee. It’s just not from the coffee machine ( very weak from the thermos) it didn’t taste good. We definitely would recommend the place for golf course, exploring little towns around and hiking.

Travelled with a group of friends for a golf break. Good accommodation, food and course, however the staff made the weekend with Cara, Zoe, dafydd and the curly haired lady in the pro shop (sorry didn’t remember name - apologies). Course is challenging and the first 5 holes very steep so book a buggy. Will definitely return.

Penrhos Park is a golf resort pretty much equidistant between Aberystwyth and Aberaeron, and only a mile or so from the Wales Coast Path. Consequently, it is ideally suited for taking the excellent buses (T1 or T5, every 30 mins) up to Aberystwyth, or down to Aberaeron, and then walk back to the hotel….very few hotels have the facilities of Penrhos Park and offer that access to the Coast Path. The rooms are large, with a double (sadly not a King) AND a single bed, with a small kitchen area with toaster / microwave / kettle / fridge and a set of crockery with dish cloth and t-towel provided but no washing up liquid oddly! Importantly, these rooms are in three 6-room accommodation blocks that were detached from the main resort build / facilities by a 100m walk….great for peace & quiet, not great in the rain walking to breakfast. Breakfast was advertised as cooked and continental; cooked was good and prepared to order, ‘the continental’ was simply cereal, toast and yogurt - some fruit, pasties etc would have added the ‘continental’ part. The facilities were were a large bar / lounge and spa with a well-equipped gym, a good sized indoor pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi - the latter required £1 for 10-minutes, this is the first time that I’ve stayed somewhere where the jacuzzi use wasn’t included in the price, very odd! Also, no additional towels were provided nor were there any loungers around the pool. So overall, a ‘good average’ (3.5) with some pros and cons: Pros: great location, good rooms, good cooked breakfast, competitive pricing, quiet rooms. Cons: no King size beds, no air-conditioning (the rooms get very hot) a few ‘penny pinching annoyances’ such as poor continental breakfast, paid-for jacuzzi, no additional towels (unless you specifically ask), no loungers and no washing-up liquid provided in the kitchenette area.
