No bus around the area, better come with a car or be good at walking, we ordered a family room for two people which is more than enough and quite comfortable, the bathroom and facilities are nice and clean, beautiful scenery is right out side, with burger king, Starbucks, subway and a supermarket right next to the hotel, can’t go starving if you’re not picky

This seemed like an old fishing town with the university the primary employer. The locals were kind and helpful. Central Bangor is a busy, old but constricted hub that was fun to walk around. Once out of it is a beautiful seaside, I am not sure I'd want to be there for spring, summer and early fall weekends (must be really busy)

Very clean, spacious and modern room. Ample, safe parking with good facilities nearby ( services, garage etc.) Easy check in process with friendly staff. Fantastic midweek stay and great value for money. Hotel is easy to find being just off the A55. Will be returning.

We would visit again as we know what to expect with travelodge. The nearness of Anglesey was the reason we stayed and it was perfect for our daytime explorations. Great to have restaurants or food places nearby. You can get breakfast from greggs at the petrol station too so very convenient. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I had to pilfer from the trolley outside our room as we ran out of loo rolls and once I needed another towel. No one seemed to mind. The quilt seemed a bit small for the cover as a side issue. But the bed was comfy.

Stayed over 2 nights, 30/31st Dec. 3 rooms. All clean, comfy beds. Lovely friendly staff. About 10 mins onto the isle of Angelsey where we were visiting friends. Close to a Gregg's, subway,.Starbucks and burger King on site. Only negative was the sign to the car park was overgrown so missed the entrance. No big deal.

I have always found travelodge rooms to be more than adequate, clean and comfortable, and the staff very helpful and friendly, professional but not stand offish. I can't recall a time during any of my stays that this hasn't been the case. thank you.

A few places nearby for food and supplies at the garage duvets are thin might want something with you and the heating had a four hour limit so it’s cold when you get up but doesn’t take long to warm not too bad

This hotel is in a really handy place for where I needed to be. My room was lovely, warm and comfy and there was everything I needed. It was nice and quiet, and the two peacocks in the car park in the morning were amazing to see. For a reasonable price, it was a good night.

The Travelodge in Bangor, Gwynedd, North Wales deserves a lengthy review for reasons that are all positive. A few of the particular highlights of a recent, 4-week stay, are below:- First up is that this Travelodge is about 1/3 the cost of any of the Airbnbs in the area. I’m repeating things that are all over the internet, which run as follows: the charm of Airbnb has all but disappeared and now, all that’s left (mostly, allegedly) are unpredictable lodging experiences, with issues around cleanliness, inaccurate descriptions, and sometimes creepy/angry hosts. On top of this, pricing has increased significantly and the cleaning fees and "chore lists" are a massive turn off. The check-outs are rarely past 10am and I’ve yet to stay in one without a constant worry at the back of my mind that something precious will get broken, or something will get spilled on the cream carpet, or some other cock-up that I will have to explain to the owner, and pay a hefty sum to putting to right. It therefore makes sense to get hotels now, but most of these are over-priced. There is one exception: the Travelodge chain. The simple fact is that this chain offers by far the best value across hotels and B&Bs. This is particularly true for the Travelodge in Bangor, which is typically £20 cheaper each night than the Travelodge in Caernarfon a few miles away. There’s still loads of dates with rooms at £39.99. Nowhere else, anywhere, even camping, offer these prices. In terms of quality, Travelodges have seriously upped their game in recent years. Now, as a minimum, expect constant hot-running water, day and night, a shower plus a bath in a pristine, en suite bathroom – yup, pristine – all of the rooms and en suite bathrooms look like they have had a refit within the last year or so, and all are decorated in calming colours. No grubby walls, or stained grouting, no smelly carpets, yukky toilets, dusty windowsills, uncomfy beds or noisy neighbours, and I must give a special shout to the mattresses – best night’s sleep, ever. All the rooms are a decent size, plus they all have black-out curtains. Finally, check-out at a Travelodge is 12pm, and it only costs £15 to check-out at 2pm! This Bangor Travelodge stands out because of the friendly and helpful staff all of whom seem to go out of their way to accommodate guests’ requirements and make them feel safe, secure and welcome. A special thanks therefore, goes to staff members Jackie, Robin, Dylan, Rachel and Stacey. You lovely people, thank you, and I will see you again very soon! Finally, it must be said that the Bangor Travelodge is a perfect location for all the sights, slap bang in the middle, between Mount Snowdon on one side, and Anglesey on the other. Both are fabulous places for different reasons. I won’t go into any details because there’s a myriad of other reviews that will do a better job of it than I can. The great location and prices were my main reasons for choosing this hotel initially; all the other things
