We had high expectations of this hotel and the staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. However, there were some problems which we had not expected in an inner city hotel. We went out for a meal both nights of our stay and when we got back around 9.45 we fancied a drink only to find the bar closed at 10.00pm. On the first night we did have time for a glass of wine but on the second we were told the bar was closed. This was disappointing as we had already been out and did not want to go out again. We had one full day in Ljubljana and the weather was glorious. When we went back to the hotel after being out all day we wanted to go into the Terrace Bar and sit outside with a drink and to read a book. When we approached the entrance to the bar there was a barrier across it. We asked the reception staff if we could go up but were told it was closed for a photo shoot. This is not what we expected on a hot afternoon. The information from the hotel also said there was a restaurant but when we asked were told it was only for group bookings. These little touches make a difference and consequently we would not stop at this hotel again.

We just stayed there for one night but the location was great to explore Ljubljana. Beds inside the room were extreme good for an hotel.Reception&service were really friendly. I defeinetly can recommend this place. Only small negative point. Parking lot beside the hotel with 25 Euro per day is not so cheap.

The hotel is pretty nice, though I’m not sure I’d choose the interior design colors. Room was clean when I first got it. Bathroom door wasn’t closing properly. Lots of TV channels to choose from. The walls are thin- you hear a lot of corridor noise. In general I had good time in spite of a very unpleasant incident with the receptionists (they apologized later). I wouldn’t pay extra for a castle view room as I did this time. It’s really not too impressive as you can see yourselves in the picture. Breakfast was good. Reasonable variety and fresh. Location is good. They started a pilot where they only clean your room upon request. I love the plan but! When I did ask to clean it, my mouth washing glass wasn’t changed and the room wasn’t as clean as when I first got it. I’m quite specific person and my standards are high but I do recommend this hotel in spite of the deficiencies. It’s not much to improve and I hope it will. If you’re sensitive to noise, it might not be suitable for you.

Very nice hotel, I really liked the location, must of the staff is very attentive and willing to help, food is good, the rooms are big and very confortable, would stay there again. Minor inconvenient, on my last night housekeeping forgot to clean my room… hate when that happens, took more than 45 min for someone to finally get to my room

We spent a night in this hotel all new. All is done for the good of every client. Spacious family room, fast and efficient floor service. Fantastic breakfast with all the dishes from different places. The hotel is located in the heart of the city and the city centre.

Stayed in the holiday inn for 5 nights while we explored Slovenia. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the city centre or a €6 taxi ride. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast provided was excellent and we were surprised by how good it was. The hotel gave us a 30 bottle of wine that was left in our room as it was my girlfriends 30th birthday. It was a lovely touch and very much appreciated.

We booked the spa package including 1 massage for 2 pers., discount to access the SPA, 1 romantic dinner and an executive room. Before our arrival, we tried to book massage and dinner as well as getting a confirmation that we could come with our cat. The staff was not super organized and did not provide a full answer to our questions. They can reserve the massage but not the spa (you have to write the spa directly to book your time there). We never got an answer for the cat. Upon arrival we were welcomed by Amir, gatekeeper, who happened to be very kind and one of the most helpful person in the hotel. Kindly organized parking for us, helped with our journey to the city center and made great recommendations. During check-in, we were kindly offered an upgrade to a top floor room and informed that they will look into the possibility to remove the pet supplement as we could not get a confirmation from their side before our arrival. (Spoiler : at the end we paid). The room was really nice, including a fluffy bed and an amazing bathroom (bath, large Italian shower, private sauna and double sink). The room had large windows offering a wonderful natural light. Minus : we called reception for maintenance as the mini fridge, one sink and the bathtub were broken and not useable… maintenance guy never came … Our time in the spa was amazing. Therapist did a really great job and really focused on making you feel good and relived. Particularly a big thank you to Bawo who really did magic. The whirlpool and saunas were very nice. Staff was on top definitely! Even if we booked 3h of spa access after 2h we had enough, the spa charged us only for the 2h we spent. Tip: book a massage + spa access for not too late in the day and not during weekend to enjoy some privacy. There is a gym in the hotel (you pay extra to access it) but it was a very nice one. Large with plenty machines. Breakfast was good and offered a large choice of classic continental food. Restaurant of the hotel was probably the biggest disappointment. Food was nice but it is not a restaurant but rather a lounge sportive bar. Not ideal for a so called romantic dinner… Do not expect romantisme there … really not at the level of the rest of the hotel and experience. General : the hotel was really nice and we spent a wonderful time as a couple. It has the potential to be excellent but sadly, could not make it due to the romantic dinner that was not one and the maintenance issue.

Good location for getting to Ljubliana, or catching the freeway for excursions. Free parking onsite!! Rooms were good and had all the basics. If you can upgrade to a suite, they are great. Sauna was hot, clean and not another person in sight. Breakfast has many options, both hot and cold. Omelets can be made to order and are served hot! One morning we were surprised with octopus ”carpaccio” - delicious. The best surprise was when we were not motivated to leave the hotel for dinner - so we tried the Robin Restaurant - the hotel's main restaurant. We were hesitant but found all of the food freshly prepared and at a high level of quality. The service was excellent too and our server knew the menu and dish contents as if she herself were preparing the plates! The prices were very reasonable for the food that was served - on hot plates - as it should be! Highly recommended!!

We stayed here for our first visit to Slovenia and this place was very impressive overall. The staff were really friendly and helpful - we were given a map of the city and information about the buses on arrival which was very useful to get us started on our trip. The room was very comfortable, the bed was roomy and the mattress was the perfect firmness. The bathroom was nice and modern and the shower was very powerful. The aircon was a bit weak and could do with upgrading, but we weren't too hot while we were staying there. The bar area was very nice to chill and have some drinks and the service was always prompt. We hadn't realised prior to booking that the hotel did not serve evening meals, but this was not too much of an issue as we ordered take out using the Wolt app and went out for meals in the city. The breakfast selection was outstanding and we really enjoyed the mini pastries and the fresh coffee. There is also a Lidl right next to the hotel which was very handy for snacks and toiletries if needed. The bus into the city was just outside the hotel and was very cheap (just €1.30 into the city centre) and only took around 15 minutues. It was a great way to see the area and they ran every 20 mins or so. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to others. A big thank you to all of the hotel staff who made us feel very welcome and made our trip very smooth.

It was comfortable and clean. Located near residential area The shower is ok and bed and mattress is comfortable too! But the worst part is that the one and only lift broke down on the day that we checked out. We were struggling like hell to bring our large bags down the stairs without any help from the hotel staff. Only later, i heard that there were one or two helpers from the hotel assisting those who need to bring their luggage down.
