Water's Edge by Serendib is a true hidden gem along the Shire River! The serene atmosphere, elegant rooms, and warm hospitality make it a perfect getaway. The boat ride on the Shire River was absolutely breathtaking, peaceful waters, stunning views, and a glimpse of wildlife that made the experience unforgettable. The meals were simply amazing, beautifully presented and full of flavor, showcasing both local and international cuisine. An ideal spot for relaxation, romance, or quiet reflection, five stars all the way!

The accommodation was beautiful with good furniture and comfort. However, the food served was full of spices and also there were no local foods where Malawians can select. Kindly consider having a diversity of food to cover for people with health problems. Some people with medical conditions are forced to take meals that are against their medical conditions (i.e low cab food).

I had a very warm welcome right from the gate up to the reception. The Staff are friendly, ready to assist and engaging. One of the Manager's at the reception said " welcome back" to which I felt good because I was recognized as one of the guests who had visited the Hotel before. Let me also recognize the waiter who served me in the restaurant, when I ordered meals delivery time exceeded my expectation.

Unexpected beautiful hotel facing the nyire river. Good food. River facing, spacious, clean rooms. Clean washrooms. AC. WIFI. They have a boat for cruise along the river. Cruise with lunch for 2.5hrs with lunch at 75,000 malawi kwacha = usd 40. the only cruising boat on river nyire in liwonde. Outside guest's can also do the lunch cruise. When we entered the gate, we did not expect such amazing hotel but we were wowed out. I woke up at 5.15am and sunrise was just amazing....not a glaring sun but a red ball you can view with your eyes. The hotel has a swimming pool too. Oooofffffff

This hotel is awesome. I loved the spacious rooms with great air conditioning and hot showers with lots of pressure. The views were amazing and so was the wait staff and cooks. The manager went above and beyond to accommodate me with my every wish. I did a birding safari into Liwonde National Park and our guide was top notch, he was part of this hotel.

The service and space was undeniably the best I’ve experienced in this part of the country. Their full board booking and expansive menu to pick from were a highlight the other Serendib Suites need to adapt. Thank you Jane, Keshan and Constance for the impeccable service.
