Ok for one night but not a lot of space and bathroom needs loads of upgrading…clean enough but not well ventilated as really stuffy with no fan and due to the airplanes flying over it’s very noisy but service was top notch

Engineer stayed to ere and said he felt unsafe. Alot of long term residents. With drug issues Will not be recommending

We chose this lodge hotel because all the other hotels nearer to Edinburgh was too expensive.
But the location wasn’t convenient for those who don’t have a car. The first night, because it was Sunday, the closest train station’s train ended very early, and we had to use the farther station, Livingston South, instead of Livingston North. We asked the hotel to send a taxi to the station. It was raining and cold and we had to wait for a while.
The next morning, it was Monday, we walked to the closer train station, Livingston North, about 10min walk, and the train was nice and punctual.
So, if you use trains, be careful with the train schedule. Especially on weekends. On the way back to the hotel, we rented a car at Waverly station, it wasn’t that bad.
The room was small, but OK enough. The shower had no problem. Wifi was good.

The room smelt of stale smoke. When I reported it, the staff were dismissive and handed me a can of spray. The food in the adjoining restaurant was overpriced and a very ordinary standard.

It's a nice place, ageing a little. Staff are friendly and helpful. There's not a lot to do in the area. There are a couple of supermarkets and fast food places.
There is some public transport but the buses run infrequently and it's always a little hike to get to the stops. The train connection is okay, it just takes 20mins to get to the station.

Room was terrible. No soap or gel in bathroom. Door to bathroom was very hard to open and close. It looked like a new floor was put down but door was not adjuster to fit new floor. Will say towles were great big and fluffy.
