Travelodge Liverpool Edge Lane

Staff were so lovely. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was of a high quality. Would have preferred free WiFi rather than just 30 mins but other than that it was good.

Although everything else was fine with Travelodge, we were placed on a floor opposite a dysfunctional family. During our entire stay, we experienced shouting and screaming from adults, children and a baby. This prevented us from getting any sleep. After two or three nights we went to raise the problem with the staff but before we could do so, they asked us if we had been disturbed by this family. We ere them promised a quiet night - but it didn't happen. I tried to ring Travelodge before considering any further days there but they only provide a high-cost 0891-type number ....

The hotel was going major renovation in the common areas this breakfast option wasn’t offered, despite all of that the stay was very comfortable, clean rooms, quiet, attentive staff . Also very important quite few public buses run until very late to the city, bus stop is about 50yards from the hotel. Once refurbishing is done it will be even better. I like the fact that is bit away from the town center is calmer and has ample parking which is free, also on 3 min walk is huge retail park with M&S foods and other chain restaurants so not having food in the hotel wasn’t an issue. Definitely will return again

**Bed bugs and Carpet Beetles** found on beds (in pillowcases too). Also large, empty alcohol bottles, tissues, dirt and bugs between mattress and bedframe (not on floor, actually under mattress). Travelodge management wrote generic letter stating no bugs found on inspection of pest control. This is an absolute lie. We have video evidence and staff found same when they checked rooms with us. Had to fight for a refund and was left stranded, in the dark (a woman and her autistic son) a lot of miles from home. No customer service set up for out of hours and zero customer service skills. Really awful experience.

Bathroom had a stinking smell so much so that we decided to leave without using shower facilities. Reception staff sold us the drinks and pizza available till 4am idea and since we were there for football we arrived at the hotel at 11.30 expecting to have a few drinks at the bar and some dinner. Bar was chaos, just one cleaner and night shift manager trying to do everything. We got served a drink after 40 mins which was flat because the cleaner had no idea how to pour a beer! We were told pizza will take 40 mins and yet after 40mins it was another 40 and off the 3 pizza 2 were burnt. Paying £40 for the food and drink, I was appalled. Honestly nothing was right except Jo (cleaner) who kept apologising when it was not her fault and had nothing to do with her. Will never use this travelodge again, however can’t fault the staff for a poor managed rota at night time and inventory issues meaning guests were turned down in front of me stating there’s not enough pizza available to cater all orders!!

We stayed one night here and had a lovely stay. The staff are amazing! Lisa the assistant manager was really attentive to the kids and made our whole stay so welcoming. We will definitely be back!

This reviewing process needs the person reviewing to write at least 200 characters. Am I being paid for this? no is the answer. I would like it if there was an option to leave a shorter review. I liked the bed, it was very comfy, the room was nice and quiet and the staff were friendly.

Fan experience . Massive thanks to Lisa. Stayed at many travelodges and this one is defo one of the best. We will be back soon
