Oh dear. I've stayed in dozens of Premier Inns so you kind of know what to expect but this one falls behind. It's in a fabulous location and I love the building but it's tired and needs money spending on it. For example the lifts are held together with duck tape, the corridor floor creaks so loud it feels like it's going to collapse under you and there's a sign at the end of the corridor saying "tip toe" so you don't annoy other guests. You heard them coming from miles away. The rooms were damp. The windows were locked so no ventilation and the condensation was bad. The smiley faces and the word Everton drawn onto the glass by previous guests showed they were not cleaned very often. The aircon system didn't work. Kept switching off. The bed was ripped around the edges and a lot smaller than usual. The ceiling was damaged and the walls damp. The food was ok. Breakfast had a wide choice but things did run out and weren't replaced quickly. We had an evening meal there which was ok. But the soup was luke warm. Now for the staff. I thought Liverpool people were supposed to be really friendly. Not here. Everything was an effort. No warm welcome. Overall a real shame. I appreciate it's not the Hilton but like I said you get to know what to expect and this place although it's a beautiful old building in an amazing location it failed in so many places.

Hotel was OK, in a good location. It was clean, staff were friendly and the breakfast was great. Unfortunately I didn’t get much sleep due to a random non-opening window in the room that looked on to a pointless empty area that was lit up all night. Even with the curtains closed it was far too light in the room as the light was coming from the top/bottom of the curtains.

The bathroom was disgusting. Stunk of urine and the extractor fan was broken. Had to leave the door shut otherwise smelly permeated into the bedroom. Was in room 130, ask to be as far as possible from here, noisy people walking past until well after 12 a.m. and you could hear bins being emptied late and early in the day. Had fish and chips in the restaurant. Peas were Luke warm, chips were soggy and the batter on the fish was not crispy and fish smelt very 'fishy' which usually means not very fresh. Left most of it. Won't be staying here again!!!

Good value hotel. Great location on the iconic Royal Albert Dock. Usual Premier inn standards clean and comfortable. Welcoming staff but special mention for Chris who was working at breakfast. He reserved a table for us every morning and greeted us with a smile. He came across very polite and friendly and even when it was busy he still found time to come over and have a chat. He’s a credit to this hotel and in our opinion he went above and beyond. Thank you! We will return

Stayed at this hotel for work and had a great stay. Hotel was clean and food was good. Bed was amazing! I was booked in by Mo on reception who I have to say was fabulous from the start. She explained to me how the meal deal works and booked me in for my meal. On my second evening there I had a really hot stuffy room and asked Mo if I could be moved. She explathat the hotel was full so she was unable to move me but told me that she would try to reset the air conditioning to cool and if this didn't work to let her know she would get me fan. I was back in my room for 5 minutes and there was a knock at the door. It was Mo who had brought me a fan anyway to cool me down in the meantime. She is an asset to your hotel and was a great go to for myself. I will definitely stay here again.

The wi fi was non existent even though we then paid for the ultimate wi fi The noise directly below our room was a restaurant/pub so really noisy till very very late The breakfast barely had anything whenever I went up and was in such a small area it was badly overcrowded and you couldn’t get In there to get anything Great location and bed as usual was comfy staff were nice and so was the room but for the price I expect extend the rest as well to be good
