Electra Kefalonia Hotel & Spa

I'm sitting in the Reception area of this elegant hotel as we await pick up for the airport. We have had such a relaxing holiday. All the staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean, breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The pool was never too busy and we always got a sunlounger. Sunset views were stunning. We used the spa for some treatments and the spa team, Nancy, Antonia and Emma couldn't have been nicer. Our daughters, aged 20 and 16 loved it. A perfect place to get away from it all.

Great hotel, great sunset views. Restaurant is lovely really good food, watch the sunset. We had an Executive room with private pool, it's very hot so would recommend! We used the Spa, Antonia did the treatments, very good! Emma also organised that for us.

This was the third year coming here and the first one with our small baby. I already knew the amenities and hotel and restaurant staff are amazing, but everyone was even nicer and more accommodating with a small baby. It really is a great hotel, with perfect rooms/view, wonderful spa and inner pool (which is heated so the baby could swim the first time there), highly professional and pleasant restaurant (and staff) and room service, and very helpful reception! Would highly recommend it to anyone!

This is the second time of coming here and I'm so glad we did. Sometimes, second time isn't always as remembered but in this case, it certainly was. I wrote a review last year but to summarise: this hotel is lovely and the staff are what make it that extra bit special. Everyone, from reception to the catering and dining staff to the cleaners are friendly, helpful and make you feel welcome. Nothing is ever too much. The hotel itself is an oasis of calm, overlooking the sea and the manicured gardens. With the main pool and the suit pools, it is like looking at an ocean of blue. Great rooms, extremely clean and very comfortable. Beautiful spa and a great gym too. And no, the proximity to the airport is not remotely an issue. No one is bothered. Please , please also eat at the hotel restaurant-Turquoise- the food is sublime and such good value. They even went out of their way to create a special traditional Greek menu just for us because we happened to mention that we liked mezze- like I said, they go out of their way to make you happy. A fabulous place to stay and we will be back again I'm very sure. To make the most of your stay, hire a car and visit Myrtos and Petani beaches or Fiskardo. Well worth the drive in all cases.

An amazing hotel, 5 minutes from Kefalonia airport. Great rooms, people with good service, we got an upgrade for a superior room, facing the beach Mini bar in the room os complimentary for the first use. After you finish it, they feel it with 2 bottles of cold water daily. The swimming pool is great. We reserved a dual spa treatment, for me and my husband. He took the relaxation treatment and I took the 70 mon cretan treatment. It was an absolute joy and pleasure being under the very professional and good hands of both Antonia and Nancy after which we learned that they are students in Athens for Physical Therapy. The spa is gorgeous and very nice to spend time at. 2 major disadvantages: First- the swimming pool only opens at 11:00 am and closes at 19:00. I wish it were open more. We woke up early, for a jogging, it was July, extra hot and sweaty and although the beach is very close by (2 minutes walk), the water at the beach was cold and at the pool much better. The second thing is that many of the airplanes land right above the swimming pool- it’s very noisy and also not comfortable.

One word describes our experience for the last 11 day’s fantastic. Staff could not do enough for us, from kitchen porter to restaurant manager. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday whilst on holiday, the hotel team could not have done enough for us. We wanted to be able to recharge our batteries, truly were able to do this from lying around the pool or drinking good local wine in the hotel bar. All rooms have a sea view, great amenities in the room and bathroom, excellent house keeping as well. Breakfast experience plenty for all tastes could not find any faults from cooked breakfast to continental the hotel catered for all as well as egg specials. Lunch good choices ate most days at the hotel for ease due to temperature outside 38c. Dinner à la carte menu, only ate once for my wife’s birthday, staff went over and above to make it a special occasion. Overall the food and drink pricing was fair for all and quality very good. We only really could fault one thing no full length mirror in our room. Lovely spa as well we did use the facilities but not the treatments.

The hotel did not disappoint, the rooms were spacious, clean and everything we had hoped for. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable if you need advice. The breakfast was excellent, and they also accommodated me with my gluten intolerance (coeliac). The pool was beautiful. The only improvement that could be made is to have more sun beds on the grass area, as there didn’t seem enough on some days. Overall a great stay and would totally recommend staying here. Location was slightly remote, a good few restaurants locally. There is a bus that runs a short walk from the hotel which takes you to the capital where there are bars and restaurants of any choice. The last bus is around 8.00 so you will need to get a taxi back which is around €20.

Wow! What a beautiful hotel, we loved everything about it. Firstly, the staff are amazing, every single one of them we had the pleasure of meeting were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We were given an upgrade on arrival to a room with our own private pool which was absolutely wonderful and we made full use of it, thank you again. The housekeepers came every day and our room was kept spotless as was the rest of the hotel. Restaurant and bar staff were great and again nothing too much trouble. For breakfast there was a good choice but I’d have liked some different fruit to choose from as it was more or less the same every morning, however, I understand that it depends on what is in season and therefore available. Being aviation enthusiasts we loved that the aircraft flew directly over the hotel just literally before landing, but if aircraft noise bothers you then this is not the place for you, although it wasn’t that many and none during the night. The hotel reception organised car hire for us which was a really good price. The hotel and the area around it Svoronata is very relaxing with a few bars and restaurants to walk to, nothing loud and noisy and the beach is a 10 minute walk if that from the hotel. 5 mins to the airport in a taxi or coach transfer and the bus stop to Lassi and Argostoli is literally 200 yds away. We will most definitely stay here again, for us, it was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful holiday and your kind hospitality

My husband Stuart and I stayed at this beautiful hotel for 10 nights on 12th June for our first visit to the stunning island Kefalonia. Delicious breakfast every morning with lots of choice and stunningly gorgeous room with attention to detail everywhere. Cleaners were exceptional every day. The pool was lovely and very comfortable sunbeds. Only two things really I would point out was the sunbeds were too close together as they could possibly expand other sides of the pool with more beds and I didn’t visit the spa as felt the prices were too expensive and I also felt I was being pushed into purchasing treatments. Overall though it was a gorgeous hotel with very attentive waiter service and exceptional friendly service from the receptionists Kosmas and Petros .
