Excellent facilities, friendly customer oriented staff, great breakfast with many offerings and a chef to cook on demand, convenient location within walking distance to the old town, the astonishing Venetian time castle and the picturesque windmills!

I decided on an early season visit to a new island and pleased with the hotel and the location! Close to the town but with great views the hotel is quiet and comfortable. Booked a suite with a large balcony and views of the small pool. As early season a few small issues but corrected very quickly. Good Greek breakfast great cappuccino and of course the views! There are lots of stairs in the hotel but a small elevator too! Value for money compared to many Greek islands a bit of a gem actually 🙏

Our experience with Pylaia Boutique Hotel was regrettable from the start. Upon arrival, the reality we faced was a stark contrast to the allure promised online. The hotel itself was visibly run down, with decor straight out of the 90s, showing a desperate need for renovation and a modern touch. The reception was in a state of disarray, with cupboards falling apart, suggesting a lack of basic maintenance and care. Stains and stray hairs on the staircase added to the unsavory picture, casting serious doubts about the establishment's cleanliness. The staff seemed to be without proper training or guidance, and their customer service left a lot to be desired. A confusing 'welcome' ceremony on the balcony was carried out without any explanation, leaving us bewildered. Meanwhile, the restaurant was being cleaned with a hose pipe, an unsettling sight that did not bode well for our experience. The room we were shown was disappointing and far from 'boutique'. The furnishings were outdated, and the atmosphere was anything but appealing. The behavior of the hotel's owner, Anna, was deeply disturbing. Rather than accept feedback and try to improve, she was defensive and dismissive, exhibiting a shocking lack of professionalism. When we voiced our dissatisfaction and informed them we would not be staying, they assured us we would receive a follow-up call regarding a refund. This call never came. In trying to reach out to them, Anna refused to speak with us and asked us to contact *********** directly. Despite not staying, we were told that Anna intended to charge us half of the original fee. Even more troubling, she attempted to charge our card twice with the full amount. Taking her disturbing behavior a step further, she managed to find our local address and sent the police to warn us against contacting her or her establishment. This harrowing experience could have severely marred our holiday, had it not been for the stellar service and warmth we found at a different hotel on the island. If you're considering a stay at Pylaia Boutique Hotel, I urge you to think twice. Based on our experience, it appears that the positive reviews may not be genuine. I strongly recommend potential guests to scrutinize the negative reviews to uncover the reality of this hotel. Consider this a word of caution - steer clear of Pylaia Boutique Hotel.

This was one of my worst experience. The room was not clean when we came inside and smell very bad. Actually, the room smell all days . Probably they have mold in the room and the smell is coming from there. The breakfast was every day the same this is not good. The elevator is not working for several days. The room have bugs too. In one word very bad experience.

The Pylaia hotel was a pleasant experience from the start till the end. The hotel staff was extremely polite and helpful. We impressed also by the extraordinary finesse that Pylaia’s people expressed along with politeness. Location of the hotel is also very convenient, very close to the village (6mins walking). There is plenty of parking space that will accommodate all customers cars. Breakfast is another great pleasure. Variety and quality of the food is excellent. In the same area the hotel’s restaurant, Cucina, is also very good in pasta and pizza. We also tried the massage & spa facilities, which were awesome. Highly recommended.

We spent 5 nights im this hotel in one of the rooms with private pool. I cannot say anything else than wow The hotel is located in the Chora in the road to Livadi beach. Very calm location and just 2m walking from the famous wind mills It’s a hotel built in various levels from the main entrance down to 5/6 floors as a cascade down. There is a lift to go up&down but you need to consider that some stairs are always there Our room had very good size for 4 people with all services needed. The private pool was next to the main hotel pool, not 100% private but with the right level of privacy The breakfast is simply amazing with the right variety every day but possible to request what you need And a final word about the staff, really amazing and kind. Konstantinos and the team are there to make your life easier and they really do it. A great plus of our experience 100% recommendable to live the experience of the amazing island of Astypalaia in this perfect rest place Go and enjoy it

Stayed at the hotel from August 9th till the 14th. Undoubtedly the best hotel on the island with impeccable service at the front desk and a spa you should definitely use as their therapists are truly excellent. I had the back and neck massage by this physiotherapist that was one of the best I ever had. Breakfast is great and their Italian restaurant offers mouthwatering and tantalizing pizzas, pastas and other dishes. The only negative thing is the design of their showers which are open fronted, leading to the bathroom flooding easily which can lead to accidents. I had one but luckily nothing serious other than a head bump. Friends staying at the honeymoon suites were also amazed by the fact that toilets are located a floor below with a glass ceiling and an open door. Not too sure how happy newlyweds would be but anyhow. Overall, a gem of a hotel with a young vibe and excellent service that is highly recommended

Well, the staff is very welcoming and kind to you. They want to help you however they can. The location is just stunning and very close to the center. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was my favorite moment of the day, because I could enjoy my delicious scrambled eggs and bacon with my coffee enjoying a breathtaking view.

My husband and I visited Astypalaia for a mini honeymoon, after our wedding on Kos! We were exhausted and this was the perfect refuge to relax and enjoy a few days together. The property is absolutely gorgeous and a short walk to the downtown. The room itself was luxurious and had a Coco-Mat bed (these are incredible and it’s great so many Greek hotels are now choosing this brand). The staff couldn't do enough for us, so kind and so knowledgeable about the island. Our room was a dream...the entire hotel is renovated, clean, perfectly decorated and feels like another world. We loved the spa and visited twice for amazing massages and facials (thank you Maria and Yianni, who were exceptional!)
