Say it like it is, I seem to have trouble with Trip Advisor publishing some of my reviews, still if you don't succeed at first eh! Anyway 2nd time of trying, makes you wonder who does not like what being said about where. What makes a good review keeps popping up, I thought I had given an honest good review last time I tried to post this, the good the bad and the ugly, well ok, it did say just ok, but I'll stick to ugly, as that is how I found certain aspects of the service and the people who dealt out that service. Getting back to St. Peters Bay resort, I stand by my title. To those of you considering going to this "resort" please read on, I'll make this brief it will probably stand more chance of getting online. We have been to Barbados numerous times, stayed in some lovely Hotels, unfortunately this is in a different class, for all the wrong reasons. The place does not really fall into the category of Hotel, where one standard applies to all people staying in the Hotel. I say that because there are roughly half of the apartments that are owned, the other half being let out as a Hotel would let out normal rooms to guests. After being woken up by the aforementioned owners children, (adolescent age children/teenagers, and extremely rude at that) at 11.00pm at night playing volleyball outside of our room, on three occasions, I decided to take it up with the management, as the response I got from one of the owners was not worthy of noting, you can see where the children got their bad manners from. The Pool states that it closes at 18.00hrs to guests, sadly that is not the case for "owners" they apparently can use it whenever they so choose, as there is nothing in their contracts to the contrary. I found this out after the concierge told me that the 18.00hr rule applied to all, the security were clueless, the operations manager thought is was 23.00hrs, all in all a farce really. I know I am getting on it years (64) but to find that you have been sold a holiday which operates a two tier system is sad, the owners (not all but one ignorant family in particular, the C's) appeared to run carte blanche around the resort, as if they owned it, which sadly they did in part, regardless of anyone else's enjoyment that they might be ruining. The Operations Manager should get special mention, again for all the wrong reasons, unfortunately she was powerless to do anything to remedy the problems. Especially being threatened by one of the owners should I ever speak to any of their offspring again, fear not in true British spirit I defended my corner, only because he was of Maple Leaf extraction and particularly rude, he was asking, so he got, you reap what you sew, etc, etc. Anyway, what else do you need to know. Rooms were delightful, pool adequate, but obviously noisy, beach very nice, food in restaurant albeit small was fine, the staff in general were really, really nice, especially the ones in the restaurant who well knew the situation, as it had been going on
