I first stayed at this property earlier this year and so in September 2019 I returned for a business weekend trip. Hotel is in a somewhat awkward location given a traffic island and the nearby Interstate 20 highway exits. But it can be reached and is easily seen from the highway. Cracker Barrel is walking distance behind the hotel and many other restaurants are nearby as is a grocery store and a Super Walmart. As to the property it is in reasonable ok shape. Love the fruit-infused water in the lobby and the fitness room with the free weights (albeit a small room). I don't swim but there is an indoor pool which guests seem to take advantage of during their stay. Breakfast is average; nothing spectacular. The breakfast area is of average size and not terribly cramped. Nice lobby area. One issue though....I reserved the room with an out-of-state (my home state) VISA card. I got the standard confirmation email from Comfort/Choice Hotels but when I arrived at the hotel mini-chaos occurred. I tried to use the VISA card to pay for my stay and after 3 swipes the card was still declined. I called my bank (BoA) to find out what was going on and they said everything was good on their side. Then the desk clerk informed me that, for some reason, the hotel computer software sometimes rejects out-of-state credit/debit cards. The clerk even called his manager to see if she could run the card and figure out what was going wrong but to no avail. Thus I had to use the hotel lobby ATM to pay cash for my stay. Fortunately I was only staying one night and the rate was reasonable but this is a HUGE problem. The hotel needs to get this fix because I can envision a volatile situation where another guest with far less patience than I would make quite the scene and with good reason. I have stayed at hotels in many places but have never heard of a hotel having issues taking out-of-state credit/debit cards. Hope this is fixed before my next stay and I hope nobody else has to be inconvenienced as I was. Room was nice and clean and had what I needed for a 2-night business stay where I spent little time in the room. I will keep this as my regular spot when I am in the area unless something goes haywire.

Fairfield Inn & Suites Atlanta Lithia Springs

Located just off the main Thornton Road in Lithia Springs, this is a Fairfield-Courtyard concept hotel (the sharing of one master building structure between Fairfield and another Marriott family brand - I've noticed Residence Inn and at this location Courtyard by Marriott). So with the elevator in the middle, you go right for the Courtyard rooms and you go left for the Fairfield rooms - share housekeeping. I'm sure there are other sharing of costs efficiencies that are able to be achieved. But they still keep separate the unique brand benefits - if you have a Fairfield keycard then you get to enjoy the free hot breakfast on that side; but Fairfield doesn't offer lunch/dinner service so you could walk over to the Courtyard side and eat in its bistro. Rooms are standardly nice Fairfield style; with the heating-A/C in the wall unit that blows the air directly onto the bed. I always have to block/redirect the air from the vent when I stay at a Fairfield property. Decent gym. The free hot breakfast is the Fairfield standard - some fruit, eggs, hardboiled eggs, sausage patty, breads, oatmeal, yogurt, cereals, coffee.

Need a double bed for another stay. But I found that the refrigerator was small, which would be a little inconvenient if I live in a parent-child family. Other facilities and services are still good. Outdoor seating in front of the door is very good, a good place to drink beer and chat

It was a good experience. Clean room. Good price. The only minor issue was the curtains blocking the AC unit. I pushed them against the window, and they held their place during the night. Would consider them again.

My experience was horrible with this service and the hotel .. i didn’t receive credit for the room I paid for threw yall on the 8th of november so when I checked into the hotel on the 20th they charged me for the room. So I was charged twice for the room I have been on the phone for 5 days now trying to get my money back. I will most likely never use trip.com again because of this.
