The eight-person room was incredibly cramped, and the bedding felt filthy. This hostel requires you to change your own sheets and pillowcases. When I arrived, there were no new sheets or pillowcases on the bed, and there was a huge bloodstain on the quilt. I went to the front desk to get them myself. When I asked for a pillow, they said they had none. I...? Then they found a pillow from the warehouse, but it was covered in dust. I asked to replace the bloodstained quilt, but they said they didn't have any. The front desk then said they could only get a quilt and pillow from an empty bed in the men's room. We were tired after hiking late that day and just wanted to get some sleep, so I agreed. The quilt they brought back smelled incredibly strongly of cigarette smoke, and I ended up sleeping in my own sleeping bag without the quilt. It's ridiculous that a hostel doesn't have extra bedding! Furthermore, the bedding was incredibly dirty. I was left itchy all over after a night of sleep, even though I was exhausted from hiking Genyen. Also, this hostel doesn't seem to prohibit smoking indoors. When checking in, someone in the men's room reported that a white person was smoking inside, but the front desk clerk said it was okay and asked them to be patient. I've never seen such an outrageous hostel before. I slept there for one night and left immediately.
