The room looked nothing like the pictures. It was dirty, outdated, and uncomfortable. The closet in the room was broken so we couldn’t use it. The fan that was provided was broken too. There are two shared bathrooms, which are dirty and not have mold all over the place. The kitchenette was not really available to use, other than the microwave; you weren’t allowed to use the stove or the washing machine. They provided no towels even though in the pictures they show they do. There were bedbugs and whenever the owners would come in, they’d be very noisy and at one point they just randomly opened our room door. We had to leave this place earlier than expected and look a hotel near by. When I let them know that we were leaving early because of the conditions, they just said “ok” and did not offer us a refund for the remaining time, nor did they care. I am not sure how this place is still in business. The owners speak broken English so it was hard to understand, and they don’t speak Portuguese as they are from somewhere in the Middle East.

Warning!! It was the worst experience of hostel I’ve had in my life. The place is completely dirty. The drywall are so thick you can hear everything from other rooms. There’s just one single electric outlet in the room. The cooktop is broken. Two bathrooms for 7 rooms. The worst part are the staff. The host is violent and rude. He has zero patience in explaining the house rules and features. He was always yelling at someone’s face. He shouts to the guests and seems to be dangerous. He asked rude questions like “what’s the problem with you?” or “did you say something?” many times and even threatened me to lock me outside and cancel my entire reservation. I’m sure this is NOT A SAFE PLACE for girls, seem the host violent behavior. Event tough the hostel is in Lisbon, the staffing don’t speak Portuguese and only English with strong accent, incomprehensible in a phone call. There is nobody in the hostel from the staffing. You have to call in a Portuguese number with the exactly time of arrival in the front door. If you have any issues with flights, he will leave you outside until next day 15:00 or later.
