I don’t even know where to start with how frustrating my experience with Sunset Destination Hostel has been. I made a booking and immediately reached out multiple times via email for assistance. Days went by without any response. I thought maybe they were just busy, so I tried calling – many, many times. Guess what? Nobody picked up! Finally, after all my attempts, I managed to get someone on the phone, only to be greeted by an unprepared receptionist who flat-out told me he couldn’t help with anything, including canceling my reservation. So, what exactly are the contact details on their website for? Why even have a reception if they can’t assist with basic requests like cancellations? I’ve never experienced anything like this in the hospitality industry. When I asked to speak with a manager, the receptionist told me he was alone, and there was no manager on-site. This is unbelievably risky, especially in case of emergencies like a fire evacuation. The lack of a manager is a huge red flag for safety, let alone customer service. The lack of communication, the complete lack of assistance, and the overall disregard for customer service is absolutely mind-blowing. It’s not just frustrating, it’s unbelievable. I highly recommend you DO NOT BOTHER booking with this place. Save yourself the headache and find somewhere else.
