Dingy dark room. No tea or coffee facilities apart from the mugs. No safe to keep valuables. Only positive was the location which is very central to all the bars and restaurants. Reception very poor and difficult to find anyone when you needed someone. To get to the bedrooms you had to go through the throbbing noisy bar. Do not recommend

This hotel is not for everyone, but if you are open-minded and have no mobility issues, it’s great. You do have to be mindful that it’s an incredibly busy club like area called Pink Street. This does mean some of the rooms are incredibly noisy. This was not a problem for me. The check-in was the most thorough and informative check-in I have ever had in my life!

My partner and I had booked to stay at Madame Pensaor Amor. A week before we were scheduled to leave from Melbourne for Europe my partners father passed away. The property manager would not provide any form of compensation or refund as we cancelled a week prior.

We stayed 2 nights, both nights we were kept awake by both the nightclub bar which is part of the hotel, loud base music went on here until 2am which is normal according to the hotel manager. Then there is a disco next door which still plays loud music until 4 or 5 am. You can not easily get in and out before midday as they lock all the doors, and you physically have to go and find someone to let you out, which is basically a death trap if there is a fire. No kettle in the room, but coffee mugs and dildos are in the tray for you to use. Staff are not that bothered with guests on the whole. Not enjoyable at all.

Madam’s Lodge - a unique experience. The room was clean and well decorated with some fun facts and little ‘extra’s’ if required. The bar area was fun and the seated area very pleasant with a nice vibe. Bar and hotel staff very polite and helpful. The breakfast came in a pretty hamper but there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, our only complaint. The Pink Street outside was vibrant and very busy and noisy but the double glazed windows were excellent so we were not disturbed at all and slept well.

You must visit this place just for the unique experience. Afternoon chill or evening party it caters for everyone. You won’t get this experience anywhere else. If you like a fun atmosphere you won’t be disappointed. We had lovely cocktails

Amazing ambience, a fantastic experience. We were well taken care of with such lovely staff. The decor and room were so unique and beautiful. Great location and fantastic value for money considering the room was huge. The only mention is that the sofa had some stains on it which were clear as it was a velvety material.

A super nice lodge, located on the busy and lively Pink Street. Ideal location and everything was close by. We had a room on the 3rd floor on the side of the street. Since the accommodation is under the club and the street we did not hear much of the noise. The room is nicely decorated and clean. Before you book this, first read the history of this lodge 😉 and what used to be there and what you can expect.

The place is crazy, the decor is very nice and vintage, the only bad thing is the size of the rooms and the lack of ventilation in the bathroom, but overall I would highly recommend it, the location is excellent with many options for eating and drinking
