VIP Executive Zurique Hotel

My recent stay at the VIP Executive Zurique Hotel was acceptable. This hotel has so much potential, and some more attention in a few areas would go a long way in transforming this property to one of a higher quality. The service was excellent. Employees were all compassionate and professional. In addition, the food offered in the hotel’s restaurant was of high quality. Prices at the property were fair. From a value point of view, I expected a bit more. I paid €439 for my eight-day stay. In addition, dinner was expensive and extremely limited. More specifically, in terms of amenities, the hotel boasts a beautiful outdoor pool area. Unfortunately, it was often overcrowded and littered with garbage. More attention to detail would remedy these issues. Wifi was available, but weak in certain parts of the hotel. A bar is located in the lobby, but opens late and closes early in the evening, making it inaccessible. The gym was closed during my time here. That was also unfortunate, as images and descriptions on websites were misleading. I stayed in an Executive Single Room during my week here. The room itself was contemporary and updated, however, housekeeping was inconsistent. Some days, my room was cleaned impeccably, others, housekeeping was abysmal or nonexistent. Towels oftentimes had rips or stains on them. The curtains had small rips and were stained. In addition, one of the blankets was stained. The provided toiletries were good. The bed itself was comfortable, but the pillows were very poor quality. The hotel did not specially publicize a smoking policy. Oftentimes, the corridors reeked of smoke. Cigarettes littered the pool deck and common areas in the hotel. Staff worked hard to keep surfaces in the lobby disinfected, however, their efforts were undermined by thousands of guests utilizing these areas. I do believe the hotel is understaffed. The hotel would benefit from having maintenance and housekeeping readily available and on call for assistance. When I necessitated maintenance, I was told I would have to wait for the following morning when the technician would be available. While the rooms were updated and contemporary, the bathrooms were rundown. The hotel shows it’s apparent age on the exterior, and in the elevators. Some surfaces were cracked and not functional. I experienced difficulties in the elevators. They stopped working at times, leaving me stuck. Again, better maintenance would remedy these concerns. The location of the hotel is a positive. It is surrounded by transit options that provide direct links to cities all across the country. This is ideal for all visitors. Overall, the hotel served it’s purpose. I do believe the hotel is ill equipped to handle the high volume of guests that stay here. Housekeeping is marginal, and must be improved. Maintenance needs to pay closer attention to the aging property. Finally, security here is lacking. I have some concerns as it pertains to safety. Front desk staff has no control over people

Pictures on the website are from the new building and be aware that once you arrive you can get one of the old rooms (which are dirty with old furniture and insects) that belongs to the next building which is the Estrella Dos Santos PENSION , and they will charge you the same amount as you stayed in a hotel ($232 for two nights) . They put us in a terrible dirty , very tiny room with no view (there was a wall ). We paid for triple room but because they needed to removed/clean an smashed spider from the dirty wall and some stained/dirty sheets from the room they give us a doble room ”while we wait ” (in the same building Pension) the manager said that we will stay there for our whole stay and charged us for a triple room when we stayed in an awful double room. We chose this place for the reviews -8.5 stars (! ) , for the ”laundry service” and the for 17 minutes walk to Saint George Castle, once you are there they say that there is no laundry service and we have to walk almost half hour to get to the Castle and to the CENTER. We felt very foolish. This is the first time that we had a terrible experience thanks to the very poor skills of a manager who treated us like they were doing us a favor. Unfortunately, we couldn't cancel this reservation because we paid when we arrived at the reception area which was very nicely decorated, after this, they sent us to the next building which is connected with the new building. And of course the manager didn't want to refund us at least with the difference for the price of the triple room with a double. I do not recommend this place. Pictures can show themselves

•Perfect location (10-15 minute walk to downtown, 3 minute walk to metro, there's a little convince store nextdoor where you can buy snacks/fruit/toiletries, the hotel is close to many trolly stations, and at night the area still felt very safe to walk in) •Amazing staff (Super friendly, helpful, and very careful/mindful about COVID safety measures. All the staff wore their masks properly, they sanitized the tables after each guest ate/drank, and the seating areas were very spacious which allowed for social distancing) •GREAT breakfast •Very nice facilities (The rooms were very comfortable and cute, the facilities are high quality, and the hotel/room itself was extremely clean) HIGHLY recommend, definitely staying here again :)

Metro entrance is right in front of door and Metro is easy to use. Room was very comfortable for 3. Just needed it for sleeping and showering. Also, very quiet. Breakfast was decent to get the day started. Staff was very friendly. Staff sold us the Hop On Off bus in Sintra. The traffic there is terrible and we had to ditch using the bus because we would spend over an hour waiting at a stop. Also Pena Castle has timed entry ticket that you cannot get same day, at least for a decent time. I know this might not be there fault, but they need to know, if they don't. Also, just trying to give others a heads up. We did not get value for the ticket we purchased.

It is cleaned and kept clean every day. The employees are very kind. There are several supermarkets nearby. You can make a simple meal using kitchen microwave, IH cooking heater and kettle. You can walk to the main attractions in Lisbon. There are a lot of homeless around, but there is no problem in particular. It is peaceful. Metro station, bus, tram, all in a convenient location. The room rate is cheap.

I stayed for 2 nights in the hotel. The staff are very polite, hotel location is prime and easy to find. The cafeteria and bar area is really pleasant and gives good vibes! I would like to highlight an incident, that actually motivated me to write this review. I had bad experience in Lisbon with one of the local taxi company. The hotel staff Andrea, who also sits on reception desk during noon time, helped us to the core and gave us peace of mind. She is not only a good hotel staff, but also a better human. If I visit Lisbon again, needless to say, this will be my first choice!

After several top-notch reviews (the first time I made a point of saying I'd come back...), I tried a 1-month experience here, which didn't last more than 17 days. In the female room there is a Madalena guest who controls everyone's behavior. Nobody can get up before her even if we have something to do... This lady manipulated everyone because she has known the team for over 1 year because she lives there. This time it was with friends who made a lot of noise, loud voice calls all day, even though I wanted to rest. Another Indian guest with no departure date gets dirty and doesn't even go to the kitchen to eat. Even if they are fine, they laugh very loudly... even above 8pm. Nobody can take it, at least I have the money... The guest Madalena and another Angolan friend of hers called Deusa took me to the limit. They started ripping my life apart with what they knew and insulting my family with sexual overtones and all.. The management had told me I was going to talk to them but they're done with them. I don't even know if you're ashamed of me or those people...
