A charming hotel with a number of cottage accommodations in pretty grounds. We attended a wedding there, and it was a great stay. It's on a busy road so getting to the nearby village and hiking trails isn't completely simple. Rooms could do with a bit of an update, but they were a reasonable size and the bed was comfortable. The only issues really were that the curtains were ridiculously thin, and the sound proofing was pretty poor (you could hear upstairs moving around. Wifi was excellent, even in the cottages. The Spa is very nice and the friends that had massage treatments said they were very good. On the positive side the staff were all very nice and helpful. The restaurant was really good quality, and staff worked really hard and were very good. My only criticism of it was that the menu never changed - I was staying for a week, so it got a bit repetitive, it would have been good to have more snack options at lunch e.g. burgers/sandwiches. Breakfast was very good. On two mornings the entire village power was out and they really went above and beyond, looking after guests and making sure we had a good experience.
