Hotels in Clear Water Bay, Lingshui

For a luxury brand under InterContinental, I can only say that everyone should lower their expectations! First, we didn't have a trip to Lingshui. We were originally bound for Wanning from Sanya on the 24th. By the afternoon, we arrived in Lingshui, the wind and rain were so strong we didn't dare continue. We suddenly found a Kimpton, planning to stay there for two days. At the front desk, I saw a two-night package for around 600 yuan less than a single-night stay, but it stated that reservations needed to be made a day in advance. I asked the staff if this could be accommodated due to weather conditions, but the answer was a resounding no! Absolutely no! They didn't even mention whether they would ask reservations or higher-ups for special circumstances. Well, I understand that rules are meant to be followed. I decided to book a single-night stay. I noticed the price difference between a standard ocean view room and a full ocean view room was over 100 yuan, and then I asked if I could get an upgrade. The answer was, again, a resounding no! They said they were sold out. I didn't say anything and booked a full ocean view room, telling him I had one. He seemed a little embarrassed and said it wasn't cleaned properly. I said it was okay and I could wait. It was cleaned in half an hour, haha! Normally, I would have changed hotels long ago, but it was raging outside... After checking in, the room was wonderful, with the old-style, old-style look I love. I managed to dispel the front desk's annoyance, then called for a pillow. Over an hour passed, and no one arrived. I called again, and they finally arrived. It's unheard of for a luxury hotel like this to not answer the phone during my stay. Perhaps the service wasn't up to par during the typhoon, or perhaps it's just a new hotel still adjusting to the new environment. I don't know the specifics, but I'm just sharing my honest experience. But I'll definitely return to this hotel because the good parts are truly great! Every waiter in the restaurant was wonderful. On the first day, all the guests were dining at the hotel, and the service was enthusiastic and well-organized. There was even a power outage, and the manager visited each table to explain. This is the kind of service you expect from a luxury hotel! The most amazing thing was the excellent food. The dinner buffet wasn't very varied, but the ingredients were fresh and there wasn't any shoddy food. And it was only over 300 per person. Then there was breakfast, which lasted until midnight and had an à la carte menu. I tried it both days, and it was absolutely delicious and exquisite! I hope the hotel will strengthen its management and improve its service so that you can have a different experience next time.

In August, an influencer's video piqued my interest, prompting me to book a 'blind box' hotel experience – which turned out to be the Indigo Lingshui Qingshui Bay. The hotel's public areas are absolutely stunning and seem tailor-made for women, with picturesque views at every turn, beautifully blending sophistication and elegance. It's the kind of place where you'll want to get creative, striking various poses for photos, to truly make the most of your visit. The in-room amenities at the Indigo definitely justify the price point. This made my subsequent stay at Atlantis feel incredibly underwhelming by comparison, proving that IHG properties truly are exceptional. However, the hotel's service was undoubtedly the biggest highlight of this stay. Anna from Guest Relations contacted me a day in advance and meticulously arranged everything according to our needs. She even pre-booked activities for the children upon our arrival, ensuring a smooth check-in and a seamless transition directly into our planned activities. When traveling, time is of the essence, and having every minute utilized so perfectly was truly amazing. Coincidentally, our stay happened to coincide with a birthday, and Anna thoughtfully prepared a small cake for us, which was a delightful surprise. Having Anna on hand just gave us such a reassuring feeling – you know the one. I truly hope Indigo continues to refine its offerings, giving me full confidence for my next Sanya trip!

I'd seen some less-than-stellar reviews online before checking in, but after just one night, I understood why opinions are so polarized: it seems they offer 'differentiated treatment'. Initially, I was waiting in the main lobby for check-in, but then I was escorted to an adjacent, VIP-style area. It was definitely quiet and air-conditioned, and the check-in process was very swift. It turns out that pool room guests receive superior service. When I first entered the hotel, it was bustling with all sorts of guests, many of whom were probably there for the 4000-square-meter kids' water park. Despite having a pool room, we actually ended up avoiding the public areas because it was simply too sunny, and our child was uncomfortable with the heat. Our pool room was on the first floor, and it was quite convenient as the food delivery drop-off point was just a left turn outside our door. However, there was a noticeable musty smell in the hotel's restaurant and elevators. The kids' club was very large and clean, offering plenty of entertainment, but some of the activities felt a bit half-hearted. Our butler was very responsive to our requests; they brought plenty of plastic hangers for drying clothes, and the bed rail was delivered immediately upon request. The bed in the pool room was also very comfortable. I was quite satisfied with these aspects. Right after dropping off our luggage, we headed to the all-you-can-eat beef buffet. Perhaps we went early, as it wasn't crowded, and there was pleasant live music. The food itself was of a moderate standard – plenty of variety, but the quality was just average. For over 200 RMB per person, it was acceptable. There are plenty of dining options available around the kids' club, so you definitely won't go hungry. My final recommendation is that if the hotel can more clearly delineate and differentiate its zones or services, allowing higher-paying guests to consistently experience a superior level of service, then I would consider the pool room to be truly worth the money.

She was always available for communication, whether in person or over the phone (or texting via WeChat) making sure that we were comfortable and well-informed. Elena's assistance went beyond the usual. She helped us with translations, speaking fluent English, Chinese, and Russian, ensuring that language was never a barrier for us. Her dedication truly shone when she orchestrated a special surprise for my girlfriend's birthday. She arranged for the pianist to play a heartfelt rendition of ”Happy Birthday,” creating a memorable and touching moment that we will cherish forever. The hotel itself is a masterpiece of architecture, combining luxurious comfort with a cozy atmosphere. The grandiose design blends beautifully with the tropical, jungle-like surroundings, offering a unique and immersive experience. The beach, with its clear white sand, adds to the paradise-like vibe. Breakfast was another highlight, with amazing buffet that catered to a variety of tastes. Our room, complete with a private pool, was stunning and provided the perfect setting for relaxation. The entire staff was incredibly helpful and kind, contributing to the overall sense of hospitality and warmth. Elena's exceptional service, along with the hotel's luxurious amenities, made our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a blend of luxury, comfort, and unparalleled service.

Very nice hotel , helpful staffs , lovely breakfast with Europe and Chinese cuisine from 07:00 AM till 10:30 AM . Beach in 1 min walk and many different pools for different ages. Best for family stay , everything was clean and nice . Recommend you guys !!!

There was a little bump in the road when we checked in. The water heater in the room was broken. The service guy was very enthusiastic and helped us change the room and ensured that our room could see the sea to the maximum extent. Thank you very much. The room was very spacious for our family of four, which exceeded my expectations. The large bathtub on the balcony was a surprise. My husband loved soaking in it, drinking coconut water and watching the sea. It's very close to the lighthouse and very beautiful.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton, the staff made everything pleasant. From the concierge, Jerry, who helped us downloading apps for our phone to Cindy in the Breakfast restaurant who went out of her way to spoil us with a parting gift of Baggett and cheese, all were smiling, willing to help and always happy! I wish Hilton would allow the inroom units A/C to cool lowerer than 23c but that must be a corporate decision as techs even checked our unit and the front desk offered us another room which we declined. Thank you for a wonderful stay, it was the staff that will have us return! Great job everyone!

The stay experience was great! The room was clean and comfortable, and the big bed was very comfortable. The housekeeper service was considerate and thoughtful, the free Wi-Fi was smooth, and there was a convenient kitchen and washing machine. The terrace and balcony were refreshing, and the daily cleaning kept the environment clean. The location is near the sea, the scenery is beautiful, and the cost-effectiveness is high. I will come again next time!
