I chose a hotel between Guilin and Yangshuo, but it turned out to be the best experience of my trip. I could go to the island to visit the orchard, cross the river to visit the ancient streets, and visit the Li River. The hotel even had family suites with paddle boards for children to play. The hotel's meals were also delicious, and the braised duck was absolutely amazing.
