Had a very lovely stay! Had been wanting to stay here as I couldn't find another high end hotel with direct lakefront access and this was exactly what I was looking for. The pool/lawn area was wonderful, and the restaurant was fantastic (ate all three meals there by choice). This is a classic "grand hotel" with an impressive facade and excellent service (not sure what the bad service review was all about). My room did not have air conditioning so it is worth checking if any rooms do if you are there in peak summer but in early or late summer it would not be needed. The hotel is walking distance to Lindau island, about 45 minutes, or you can rent bikes and be there in 10. Overall, there are some things that could use updating such as the outside of the building, but it was a great value and one of the most beautiful settings I have been in in Germany. The spa is also brand new and top notch with multiple saunas, steam rooms, and an indoor pool.

Das Abendessen und die Salatbar waren durchschnittlich, die Portionen eher klein. Das Zimmer war relativ eng und könnte eine Renovierung gebrauchen. Das Personal wirkte gestresst und wenig herzlich. Positiv hervorzuheben ist die Massagetherapeutin Senka, die ihre Arbeit mit viel Hingabe erledigt hat. Schade finde ich, dass für alles extra berechnet wird – selbst für Wasser oder den Bügelservice (7,50 € pro Kleidungsstück). Angesichts des Zimmerpreises pro Nacht ist das Gesamturteil leider enttäuschend. Es ist bedauerlich, dass das Hotel seine Monopolstellung auszunutzen scheint und der Ansicht ist, dass ein Mindestmaß an Qualität ausreicht, ohne weitere Investitionen zu tätigen.

So wird eine deutschlandweit völlig einzigartige Lokation durch miserablen Service, schwache Küche, ein mehr als renovierungsbedürftiges, abgenutztes Haus und viel Ungeziefer in Hotel und Zimmern zunichte gemacht - keine Empfehlung für dieses Haus, wenn sich nicht einiges ändert!

hôtel vieillot , suite sur lac mais en réalité , vus sur les bateaux de location. chambre sans douche , baignoire à l'ancienne. bon petit déjeuner , literie acceptable , ambiance très germanique , accueil sérieux mais pas très souriant . bref , une autre époque d’hôtels , rien ne manque mais ce ne rigole pas.

Das Hotel liegt wunderschön am See, wir hatten im ersten Stock ein Zimmer mit Verbindungstür für die Kinder. Der Blick ist grandios, die Zimmer strahlen 60er Ambiente aus waren aber sauber und gepflegt. Es muss ein kaum machbarer Aufwand sein, die Anlage zu unterhalten. Essen war aufgrund der Personallage Buffet, qualitativ solide. Frühstück war sehr gut auf der wunderschönen Terrasse. Das Personal hat sich angestrengt und war höflich. Man merkt aber, wieviel an Mitarbeitern nötig sind um einen reibungslosen Betrieb zu gewährleisten. Hoffentlich bleibt das Haus in der Form erhalten, es ist ein Stück Tradition.

Altes, abgestoßenes Mobiliar. Hartnäckig unangenehmer Zimmergeruch aufgrund fehlender Lüftung - selbst im Bad. Ungeziefer im Hotelbereich, innen. Gravierende Probleme beim Transfer zu den mitgebuchten Festspielen. Insgesamt sehr schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Und leider ein unprofessionelles Hotelmanagement, Frau Schielin, das durch arrogante Weigerung auf die genannten Mängel zu reagieren, für zusätzliche Verärgerung sorgte. Nie wieder!

Das Hotel ist ein absolutes Erlebnis - eine unerwartete, positive Überraschung. Ich hatte das Hotel gebucht, um von hier aus zu den Bregenzer Festspielen zu gehen und daher nicht wirklich vorab das Gesamtpaket betrachtet. Ich war sehr angenehm überrascht, als wir vor diesem prächtigen Gebäude in einer tollen Parklandschaft, mit direktem Seezugang und STrandbad standen. Es ist ein "Grand-Hotel" Erlebnis, was leicht an frühere Zeiten erinnert. Die Mitarbeiter sind ausgesprochen freundlich, super professionell und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten mit Halbpension gebucht und das würde ich bei diesem Hotel jederzeit wieder machen. Das Essen war gut und reichhaltig, die Terasse oder auch der Speisesaal fantastisch mit tollem Ausblick und Service. Die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, haben aber ihren ganz eigenen Charme, sind grosszügig in der Grösse. Das hauseigene STrandbad ist der Hit, direkt am See, mit Pool oder Seezugang, Liegen und einer unschlagbaren Lage. Alles in allem - ich möchte gerne wieder kommen und freue mich schon sehr darauf.

In Bad Schachen lassen die spiegelnde Oberfläche des Sees und die immer wieder zu ahnenden angrenzenden drei Länder , der nahe Park, mit den die Fantasie anregenden Bäumeb und deren Wurzeln - reichem Schatten Schönheit und Vergänglichkeit sich sanft und harmonisch verbinden. Das Hotel selbst mit seinen bunten Marquisen und gepflegtem familiär anmutendem Vintageflair fügt sich wundervoll ein. Und Ganz konkret ! die Küche und deren Kultiviertheit ist auch nicht zu vernachlässigen, Sehr empfehlen kann ich auch die effiziente medizinische Kosmetik und die positive Energie der nicht beliebigen physiotherapeutischen Abteilung! Strandbad und Schwimmbad sind zudem auch noch vorhanden! Es war ein wirklich sehr erholsames Wochenende.
