From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, my stay was lovely. The staff were attentive and the room was perfect too. The location is ideal for Limone. The shuttle bus helps as the walk is around a mile but is a lovely walk and not too uneven. In the heat in the middle of the day I'd say get the shuttle though. Breakfast was perfect every day. The choice was varied and there was enough choice for every traveller I would think. Evening meal menu is a bit smaller than some hotels I've stayed in but I had no problem choosing food. It was well prepared, served quickly and was always the best quality. The hotel is adults only so was perfect for me travelling solo. I'd happily stay here again in a heartbeat

The hotel is fantastic. It’s spotlessly clean especially the pool I’ve never seen such a clean pool area. There was plenty sun loungers for everyone and the views are incredible. Every room looks over the lake . The staff are great , nothing was too much for them we even got a welcome drink and snack which was very much appreciated. Our room was also ready early as they knew we had an early flight . We said in room 208 it was perfect. We will definitely be back

I write this on my journey home, having spent the last week staying in this wonderful hotel in Limone. The hotel is recently renovated inside but maintains its traditional charm, with the building being set back into the hillside. Due to the location, all the rooms and communal areas (bar, pool, terrace…) have an amazing view over the lake, where you can enjoy a good selection of drinks and snacks. The included breakfast is buffet style with an excellent selection and a freshly made cappuccino on offer. Lastly, I would like to mention all the staff; everyone was friendly, attentive and professional. I would like to make a special mention of the guys in the bar - Vito, Anna and Giacomo who were all excellent! I will certainly be returning! Grazie di tutto e ci vediamo l'anno prossimo!

Very glad we chose Hotel Villa Dirce, the last building at the northern end of Limone with a pleasant walk (1.2km) into town along recent walk/cycle route (umbrellas available in return for deposit). Otherwise the hotel's scheduled shuttle service is available. Contemporary rooms looking onto the lake over traditional scene gives you the best of both new and old worlds. Breakfast choice is immense and excellent, although much the same every day. The stunning views over the lake can be fully enjoyed as breakfast runs until a relaxing 11.30am. No evening meal but small dishes and pizza can be delivered. The inside wellness area is small made up for by spacious decking outside to enjoy the sunshine - note the pool and jacuzzi are not heated. Very helpful staff and we would be happy to return.

We only stayed for 2 nights at Hotel Dirce, but it was a very pleasant stay. The rooms were very clean with a stunning view of the lake and the mountains. Breakfast was really good. The pool was lovely and the service was amazing. I would recommend it to anyone in an instant. The only "issue" one might have is the walk into the town as you have to walk down/up some stairs next to a stream (waterfall), but if you're fit and have no issues walking steps and up and downhill then it's just a lovely walk. The hotel also offers a free shuttle service from the hotel into the town, but we didn't use it.

Beautifully situated by the Lake, nice walk into Limone. Rooftop pool, excellent facilities. Wide variety of breakfast options. Friendly, helpful staff

The hotel says it has views and wow from my hotel balcony they were stunning, it's not a big hotel and adults only which suits me. The staff are attentive and friendly offering advice re resturants, walks and places to see. I didn't get to use the pool, as Italian weather decided otherwise bit it was cleaned every day and nice sunbeds are available. Breakfast loads of choices only hot food was scrambled eggs and bacon but plenty of other choices. You can walk into limone, I am used to walking but it is hilly and windy and after a few drinks in thd evening it's seems longer. So i would pick maybe Riva as this is much flatter for mobility issues. The shuttle bus runs really well though you need to time it right. As a female solo traveller, I felt safe walking home at night and during the day

We stayed for a week in the hotel. It was very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a nice pool and a small and well maintained wellness area.. Breakfasts were fantastic with good quantities of everything you could think of. The fresh bread and lovely fruit and great pastries were lovely. The rooms were comfortable and had nice views over the lake. The hotel is located about 1.5km north of Limone. There is a free shuttle service, but stops in the middle of the day and is roughly hourly. You can walk which is pleasant, but is not completely flat and there are a number of steps upto the hotel. Personally not an issue, but a modicum of fitness is required.
