An exotic getaway in the jungle but steps away from the beach on the Caribbean coast. If you enjoy Howler monkeys with their wild screech in the trees just outside your door, bright yellow eyelash vipers sunning themselves in the branches along the path from your room to the dining area, sloths quietly watching you from atop the trees overlooking the pool, this is your next holiday. Be prepared for 100% humidity and high 80’s temps in January, and very damp clothing that you’ll have to wait on til you get home to dry them out. Downstairs suites have standing fans and are dark due the lush surrounding jungle, upstairs have ceiling fans & due to their height, permit more light in through the windows. The food was primarily vegetarian, 2 nights with fish, 1 night with chicken but the staff and owners, Marcel & Jacqueline provided delicious & hearty meals that came close to converting me to a vegetarian diet. If not for the intense heat, humidity & thoroughly soaked clothes, my review would be 5 stars but that should not reflect on the resort accommodations, great food, and oh, the animals & reptiles you will see. Sloths, monkeys and reptiles, Oh My!

The free shuttle to and from San Jose made the trip easy and carefree. Minutes from the beach, this resort is private and tucked away in the trees in a beautiful location. Being small, you often felt like you had the whole place to yourself. The food was healthy and so delicious, with something new every meal. The rooms were very clean and the people were great!! We loved our stay very much and would highly recommend.

The hotel is located in a green deep jungle, were you can find with some luck also animals (we saw a sloth and some agouti) Beautiful swimming pool and nice rooms. The only thing that has to be improved is the breakfast: we tried it and it was really good, but it starts at 8.00am, quite late for Costa Rica times, especially if you want to make any tour around.

The Goddess Garden is an incredible place to be in nature, explore, and to come together with other retreat participants for yoga and connection. I found Jacqueline and Marcello to be kind, responsive and very professional. The food was light and healthy and the dining area was well maintained. There were beautiful touches around every corner, gorgeous flower arrangements, inspiring messages, etc. The place is not luxurious but well thought out, the right combination of beautiful and within nature. The plants and flowers that are maintained on the grounds are just gorgeous. The yoga space was spacious and I loved being up at tree level. The pool area was really beautiful, which says a lot, as I'm not usually a pool person. I loved being able to watch sloths poolside, what a treat! Our group created a somewhat spontaneous ritual and they created a magnificent flower arrangement for it, so generous and kind!! I stayed in a shared room, it was clean, everything worked, and I really appreciated the ample shelving to put my belongings away. The one thing I would have added was nightlights, as the overhead lights were too bright to turn on in the middle of the night when sharing space with others who were sleeping. All in all I found the Goddess Garden to be a a real sanctuary, peaceful and sacred. I will definitely return!

The Goddess Garden does such an amazing job of preserving the wild beauty of the jungle while keeping a safe and clean environment to relax into. The staff are knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna and do there best to provide a beautiful experience for their guests.

This place is badly in need of a makeover for both physical accommodations and hospitality. The yoga studios and pool are pretty nice but be prepared for very rustic living quarters or find another place to stay if you are attending a program.
