Heronissos Hotel

Not a great start room was really bad booked with love holidays ,had to complain after being shown about 6 rooms settled for a fairly ok room not a great start to my first time abroad .food wasn't great dining room staff not very friendly and too quick to move plates when still eating .cleaning staff are more friendly and do fab job ..But did have a fab time there in the end entertainment was good ,drinks not so good.Manager who passed through hotel was a very handsome man made stay more enjoyable.

This is a 2 star hotel. We were given a ‘superior room’ for the first night for free due to arriving at 2am. The next morning we went down to go to our actual room and OH MY DEAR GOD! The worst thing I have ever seen.. you have to hold the shower head to have a shower as it isn’t even attached to the wall, the walls are damp and mouldy, it was awfully old fashioned and there are no photos of this online. There was items left behind from previous people, hair/public hairs on toilet and bathroom and it was clear it hadn’t been cleaned. When we went back to reception they told us we can upgrade but this is £20 per night. We tried to complain but got no where so paid it. The superior room was alot nicer but still wouldn’t class this as ‘superior’. As we spoke to other guests, it’s the same for everyone, they show you an awful room so you pay the extra. We then found out online you pay extra for a terrace/balcony and all room come with this as standard so again fobbed off! Fight for sunbeds every morning. Sometimes you can put them down at 5am and staff aren’t bothered, sometimes they are bothered and they hide them away. The area and trips and are really good! The ***** is lovely and waterpark is amazing.

The hotel is definitely not a four star. Eventually, we had a nice room but had to pay extra for it. The dinning room was cramped and the food not good. Pool was ok. No snack bar and long queues for drinks. Location is excellent. Very young resort, but that wasn't a problem. No trouble and everyone having a good time.

This hotel was a whirlwind of emotions when we first got to check in they tried to give us an “upgraded room” which i declined he then said we have to take it and it already being 2 am I unwittingly obliged the next morning we went to reception to get our normal room and they then tried to get us to pay more to keep the “upgraded room” we had been given we said no . Now here is the interesting part I stayed with my Mrs in our room but my Parents were also with us and they were in a base room which they said smelt like cigarettes and damp and when they tried to get a new room they offered them to upgrade to a different version of the base room calling it a “deluxe” which was still worse than the one me and my mrs had stayed in my Mom called the receptionist out on this to which she didn’t know what to say she then offered us our own apartments up the street (2 min walk) and once we got here was where our holiday finally took off the apartments were beautiful had lovely security systems and pretty much looked brand new all over . If you are staying here make sure to request these rooms as they always over book anyway and it’s likely they will give them to you . The food is average I have IBS and the only night i ate at the hotel my stomach was in a lot of pain . The entertainment can be fun . The pool area is great but very fully they say not to claim beds but everyone else does so make sure you claim it on the right side of the pool furthest from the bar as that’s where the sun rises over the best and make sure to explore the best moment of this trip was the rent a boat which was very cheap and an amazing experience

Hotel nice and clean, staff work hard for the manager who cares nothing for the guests, she strolls in and sits around entertaining her family and friends. Bar has very long queues and long waits for a drink. Restaurant has a good selection but very repetitive. Not enough loungers or space around the pool. Good for location to the beach and shops.
