The reviews of this hotel are pretty accurate, the hotel itself is in a great location, pretty central to everything. The pool is big enough, some of the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, the experience at the hotel had us considering flying home the day after he arrived. We stayed for 7 nights and had to pay €69 tax, there is varying amounts from people but that was the least of our problems. They then told us that they had a “special surprise” for us. As most others said, it was that we got to stay in the “superior” room, what was superior about it, who knows. No balcony, you had to climb over a desk to get to the window, rock hard bed and paper walls. We decided that the twin room we booked couldn’t be much worse and we were right. We weren’t allowed to get into our actual room until 11am the following day, meaning we couldn’t unpack anything, when we got to the room it wasn’t cleaned from the previous guests so we had to wait a further hour or so before we could actually check into our room and unpack. Food wasn’t good, very small selection, mostly cold, 2 meat options which were usually bone and gristle filled or in some kind of soup/strew. There was no labels so who knew. 1 dessert option with lemon slices as a fruit? Overall hotel was just dingy and dirty. The pictures on the website are very misleading. They were worms in our shower from the cracks in the walls, the pool is half shaded and a woman actually fell and broke her arm due to the water all on the tiles, since it couldn’t dry properly on one side due to the shade. There was only entertainment on one of the nights we were there, so it becomes very boring each night. With that, our check out was at 7:30pm and we were told that we would be cut off after breakfast. However, the manager asked if we were satisfied and if so, we can have drinks, lunch and dinner as long as we leave a good review - which he then took us to a desk and watched us do. I’m assuming that’s where all these good reviews are coming from.
