This hotel is not even accepted by *******. They took my money and left me on the street at 1:00 at night in a dangerous area. They said they don’t use ******* anymore but somehow they are listed on *******. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. It had another name and you won’t even be able to find it. It’s actually an adult hotel with extremely rude staff. They wouldn’t even let me book a room, after they scammed me. I want a refund!

The room was small and cold with no heating. Window with no view. But staff (probably husband and wife) were friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay and give your money to locals instead of corporations! Amazing hospitality and people, and communication was great leading into stay! They also helped us out greatly with local taxi . Overall great place to stay that is safe.

It has Hotel Americana on the front now, but is the same name. What a great option! Yes, very basic, but in a fun area to explore. The couple managing it are so incredibly friendly and helpful! More Americans (like myself) and foreigners who enjoy patronizing family-run local places over the big corporate chains will appreciate this. The Museo Larco is a 5 minute walk. There are about ten parks in the area, including a large and well lit one just to the south (check out its Ombu tree supposedly planted by Bolivar). The local bus (or a taxi) can run you down Av. Bolivar to near Av. Brasil, where I found a great collection of local restaurants and panderias. Just a very authentic Peruvian neighborhood and local place--at least to me, much more fun than the lifeless corporate high-rise hotels in Miraflores (and for a fraction of the price). An easy base for to/from nights from the airport, as well, which is just 15-20 mins. away (and only 35-40 Soles by Uber). I highly recommend this, though I do admit that it is too modest for many First World, high-comfort need types. Here, and in this area, you definitely feel like you are overseas.

I liked the location and the king size bed in the Suite room was very comfortable. I didn't like having to wait for the door to be opened to us every time we wanted back in and I thought it was a little strange that we had to leave our room keys behind every time we stepped out. We had a Suite room with a mini fridge and cupboards but there was nothing in those cupboards, no glasses or utensils. We could have borrowed some from the common room in the lobby but nothing was in the room. We only stayed for two nights so it wasn't a big deal. The comfort of the bed made up for it all.

Like - the price is great and the staff are warm and friendly. Dislike - we booked this place to rest for a few hours before our late night flight. We were given Room #1 and now I understood prior reviews on ******* about this room. It was really noisy - we could hear the staff talking and laughing, anyone going into and leaving the hotel, and cars/motorcycles start outside.... And the noise was non-stop. We couldn't rest at all. I don't think it's wise (or border line ethical) to use Room #1 as a guest room because of the non-stop noises. Other parts of the hotel look fine. My review is only for Room #1

Inconsiderate It was ok but I think there are better options. Also, they gave us a room in front of the receptionist desk and were socializing loud late at night. I asked them to quiet down as it was late and it made no difference. This was on top of hearing the door bell and street traffic.

It's a sex hotel. Not very clean, but the manager of the place was nice.
