Wingate by Wyndham Lima Downtown

Spacious room but dated, bed comfortable, pillows too thick. Bathroom in need of better lighting, cleaning and renovating. Refrigerator with small freezer- perfect for my ice packs. I don't think we had neighbors because it was a quiet night for sleeping. My husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Drove to The Met for dinner- good atmosphere and food.

This will definitely be our place to stay while in Lima, OH. Great downtown location near walking distance of restaurants. Friendly staff. Well stocked breakfast. Clean rooms and atmosphere. Most of all, they welcomed my Yorkie. Highly recommend.

Staying at the Wingate is our go-to when we visit family in Lima. It's wonderful to see the new places to eat and shop, and the new outdoor event venue is close by.

We just stayed overnight on our way home from a trip. The hotel staff was friendly and informative. The room was neat & clean with a refrigerator so we could store meds and foods that needed refrigeration. That is always a big plus. The room was pretty well set up with enough storage, seating, and flat space to work. The bed was not too high to get into which is a plus for shorter people. (I am 5’3”.) Breakfast was included and was a nice setup. The options were for the most part what you would see for “healthy” people, but there were options for various types of vegetarians (breads, fruit, hard boiled eggs/milk/cereal/waffles. Vegans had bread, jam, peanut butter, waffles, fruit options. They also had protein sources (biscuits & gravy with sausage, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, peanut butter). For gluten free there was fruit, eggs, peanut butter (possibly the sausage) and of course a variety of beverages-water, juice, milk, tea, coffee, & cocoa. Overall for the price of an overnight stay you felt like it was a luxury to stay. Too bad we didn’t have time to use the fitness equipment before we left or tour more of the city itself. Definitely recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at Wingate hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect. I especially enjoyed the breakfast—great variety and quality. Overall, a smooth, relaxing experience. I’d definitely stay here again!
