We rented the top floor 2 bedroom, 2 floor apartment for a long weekend family stay this week. We chose it as it was in the old quarter and so minutes away from scores of characterful bars, restaurants and shops in beautifully picturesque, cobbled streets. The apartment itself was clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped - very pleasant indeed. We have rated 3 stars due to the difficult access that wasn’t mentioned during our search. Being an old building in the old quarter you would expect some ‘quaint’ and original features but the tiny, steep, curving, unevenly spaced wooden staircases that have wobbly handrails and missing posts are of a standard that would not pass building regulations in the UK. In an emergency situation I have no doubt at all that people would die. There are no fire doors between floors so the stairwell is basically a very steep, narrow, wooden chimney. Do not book if you have any kind of difficulty walking or if you are elderly or claustrophobic. Would we recommend? Sadly not - for all but the youngest of visitors.

Great location, great facilities, good support and information from the management The apartment we used was ground floor at the front so no stairs issue, only a little noise from footsteps above. The place has everything you need, it’s modern and clean and fully equipped. In a nice quiet street only minutes on foot to shops, restaurants and bars, exactly what we wanted. One very small downside was the sofa in the main room was a sofa bed which was not the most comfortable to sit on for our week stay but the bed was comfortable. 2 flat screen TVs, a lovely shower, and a coffee machine were just some of the very good aspects. Would recommend. Lille is a surprise for visitors. Loads to do and all on the flat but mind the cobbled streets and wear sensible shoes! Oh and the mosquitoes are a nuisance in August too but you can’t have it all

Avons réservé à la déesse... Bien placé mais 2ème étage très étroit avec des bagages, faut vraiment faire attention. Belle surprise en ouvrant la porte, bel appartement lumineux parfaitement équipé.. Sauf qu'il n'a pas de volets et qu'en été par grosse chaleur on est réveillé tôt et bien au chaud, les stores ne permettant pas de cacher toute la lumière Grosse déception au niveau du ménage, j'ai nettoyé le tiroir à couverts les tiroirs de la chambre le hublot de la machine à laver, le sèche serviette.... Et le pire le frigo où la porte du casier a glaçons cassée donnait un compartiment tout gelé donc il a fallu p'usieurs pour tout dégivrer avant de pouvoir se servir du frigo alors qu'il faisait chaud Pb aussi de wifi qui saute, la bouilloire a fait disjoncter... La pendule au mur ne fonctionne pas Dommage que le suivi d'entretien ne soit pas à la hauteur de l'équipement de cet appartement Heureusement les propriétaires sont réactifs à chaque problème mais on aurait préféré ne pas les déranger

Bel appartement fonctionnel propre situé au deuxième étage dans rue peu passante donc relativement calme Deux bémols :son accès : un escalier étroit et très raide assez difficile avec de gros bagages et une condition physique dégradée... et son insonorisation intérieure. Mais appartement très bien situé aux abords de la magnifique vieille ville ou cafés restaurants boutiques sont très proches avec une boulangerie à proximité. Hébergement à recommander.
