The guest house is located in a quiet street off the main pedestrian street in the old quarter of Lijiang. The hotel is beautiful, quiet and full of antique decorations. In front of the guest house, is a large garden where the locals grow their food, so picturesque. The staff are warm and friendly, and helped us to book a fantastic hike through the surrounding mountains. Our guide, Bongdu, was amazing, he had so much knowledge to share about the plants and the monastery we visited. The room was fully fitted with a range of amenities and the food was delicious. No complaints at all, a wonderful place to stay.

Compared with the noise of Dayan Ancient Town in Lijiang, I prefer the quietness of Shuhe Ancient Town, so I came to Shuhe. The tough Naxi ancient buildings and quiet modern Yunnan-style guest rooms form this small courtyard - Yulong Qiantang. The small courtyard is located on the side of the main road at the north gate of the quiet Shuhe Ancient Town. Everyone knows the old buildings in Shuhe. The Shuhe Ancient Town Monument is at the door of the store. Family courtyard, two-story brick and wood structure, majestic building with strong sound insulation effect, there are more than 20 guest rooms in the courtyard, all equipped with central air-conditioning, warm in winter and cool in summer, the teahouse divides the courtyard into east and west courtyards. The large open-air balcony overlooks the bustling flow of people on the main street of Shuhe River. If you want to live quietly in the east courtyard, you will still be warm and romantic. The inn provides 24-hour hot water, free tea and clothes for washing and drying. There is a kitchen for you to show off your cooking skills. Five friends competed in chess in the entertainment room. There is a cherry tree in the yard every year in May, the cherries are full of branches, and the innkeeper is a Virgo cleanliness man. The west courtyard is hardened with local high-quality stone bricks. No dust, the east courtyard is full of spring flowers, there are maple trees, loquat trees, cherry trees, camellia, rose bougainvillea, and the boss got seven stone jars from nowhere and seven water lilies in them. I am not willing to go, the boss is a Cantonese, a strange woman who travels all over the water and mountains. The recommended local chicken hot pot is super delicious and cheap. The inn has convenient transportation, the car can drive to the door, and the surrounding parking is convenient. The boss has 5 dogs and 2 cats. In the morning, he can also go to the mountain to walk the dog, especially at home.

The B&B is very simple. The dry ice that came in perfectly matched the fairy-like mood. The front desk guy was super enthusiastic and helped us deliver our luggage to the B&B.
The environment is quite beautiful, with a variety of flowers, trees, and succulents everywhere. Walking around to our room, it felt like going to a secret place.
The room is quite large, with an electric blanket on the bed and a huge table. It is quite comfortable to lie on it.

After reading the online comments, it was said that the environment was good and the service was warm, so I booked it. After arriving, it was true. I heard that the proprietress loves flowers, no wonder the yard is very beautiful. The service staff was very warm and thoughtful, and also helped me with my luggage. The breakfast was good, especially the Yunnan rice noodles. It was delicious. It was still made with big bone chicken soup. It was exquisite. The family was very satisfied. The boss is very good, contact in advance to pick up and drop off at the airport, we arrived late, here to say, the night here is too cold, the kind of snoring, and then give us tea, the boss knows tea very well, but we don't understand it, but it is very timely and very warm. The yard is beautiful and antique.
Overall, this inn is a great choice and the experience is very good. I highly recommend this inn, if you come to Lijiang, don't miss it.

My second excellent stay at a Desti hostel. The building itself had a very cool design and I imagine it would be a very lively place to stay during the peak season. The dorm and bathroom were very clean like in the other Desti I stayed in. The kids at reception were so nice and helped me book tickets that otherwise would have been very difficult to book as a non-Chinese speaker. The hostel is not in Lijiang proper, it is in a different old Town that is also very nice and quieter than Lijiang. It is about a 20 minute drive from Lijiang Old Town. Many buses to the various attractions leave from Lijiang, so you need to factor that driving time into your planning.

Very good service and hospitality! Liaised with the owners via WeChat and they warmly welcomed us and picked us from the car park, so we did not have to drag our luggages on the cobbled streets. It was a very short 2 minute walk to the hotel from the car park, and the hotel was at a good location to explore the other sights in Lijiang old town as well. You can enjoy tea with the owners and the stay also came with a good, hearty breakfast. There was also a nice patio Rooms were clean. Really enjoyed my stay :) Would recommend!

Who is looking for information about this place. I hope it will be helpful for everyone who reads it. I am a tourist from Thailand and I had the opportunity to stay here from July 16, 2023 to July 19, 2023.
I was very impressed with the overall experience. The hotel is located in the heart of the old town, within walking distance of all the major attractions. The rooms are decorated in traditional Naxi style, clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. I had many questions and concerns during my stay and the staff was always happy to answer my questions and help me out. The hotel also has a number of amenities, including a free breakfast buffet, a rooftop terrace with stunning views of the city, and free fruit, tea, and snacks.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Lijiang. It is the perfect place to experience the Naxi culture and the long history of the old town of Lijiang. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel has a number of amenities that will make your holiday a great one.
Here are some additional details about my stay:
The hotel is located near the water truck of Lijiang Old Town with long history. It combines and continues the style of Naxi independent courtyard Courtyard. Well-known scenic spots in the old town: Bar Street, Sifang Street, Mufu, Black Dragon Lake and so on are close by.
The staff is friendly and helpful, but they mainly speak Chinese. For foreign tourists, don't worry. You can use Google Translate to communicate with them. They are happy and willing to help you at any time. The hotel is equipped with independent WiFi, convenient transportation, you can get on the bus, kung fu tea room, classic breakfast, 24 hours front desk, safe and convenient.
In addition, the hotel can also provide airport and Lijiang railway station pick-up for guests (please consult the business for details) to ensure that you have a carefree trip to Lijiang.
Overall, I had a wonderful stay at Lijiang Ancient City, Bolin · Damei Huasu Resort and Homestay (Big Waterwheel Store), and I would definitely recommend it to others.
Finally, I would like to add that the hotel is very affordable, especially considering the quality of the facilities and the location. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great value for their money in Lijiang.

From the moment we contacted the villa (one day before our arrival), we were met with unparalleled hospitality and exceptional service. There was no pressure to purchase anything; instead, we received genuine recommendations for various enjoyable activities/packages and dining options, along with assistance in making reservations. Our assigned butler, ”小侯” (Xiao Hou), along with the rest of the staff, went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was flawless. Additionally, being welcomed by the owner’s adorable pet, a pig named Pupu, added an extra touch of warmth and charm to our arrival experience.
One of the standout features of this hotel is its serene ambiance. Despite its location in a bustling area, the secluded spot provided an incredibly peaceful atmosphere, allowing for a truly relaxing experience. The villa we stayed in was not only beautifully designed but also incredibly smart, offering all the modern conveniences one could ask for. It was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully appointed.
And let's not forget about the breathtaking view! Waking up to the sight of majestic mountains, a tranquil lake, and a charming bridge was a true highlight of our stay. Experiencing such natural beauty right from the moment you open your eyes from your bed is truly magical. Moreover, the restaurant's decoration was specifically designed with Instagrammable features in mind, adding an extra layer of visual appeal to the dining experience.
Additionally, when they learned I was unwell, the hotel staff kindly offered free medicine, showing their dedication to guest comfort. Moreover, existing services such as the welcome dessert, breakfast, afternoon tea by the snowy mountain lake, 1-way airport/train transfer, and even the hair wash were all indicative of their commitment to ensuring every guest's needs are met with utmost care and attention.
The only regret is that we couldn't catch the 日照金山 phenomenon as it was mostly cloudy during our stay.
Overall, our stay at this hotel was truly enjoyable. It's unquestionably worth every penny, and the actual experience surpassed the captivating photos. We cannot recommend it highly enough; you simply must experience it firsthand.

HheakyIf I had to pick the three most impressive things during my five-day trip to Lijiang, the most memorable ones would be the Tiger Gorge, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and the relaxation in the old city I experienced while staying at this hotel.
The hotel owner was so kind that he went out of his way to solve all the big and small problems we had while traveling in Goseong because we were foreigners and were not good at speaking, such as not being able to pay with Alipay or calling DiDi. He was also well-versed in tea ceremony, so he provided us with a variety of teas such as pu-erh tea and black tea. Tea was served to me several times.
The hotel is located within Goseong and is close to the entrance, making it convenient. There are many famous restaurants in Goseong right nearby, and there is a night market right behind it, so you can experience a variety of food.
All facilities are well-organized and very clean. It seems to have been designed based on a traditional Chinese house, but the interior is all modern, with lights, TVs, and even curtains that can be operated by voice.
The breakfast was home-cooked and served in a variety of ways, so I think it was much better than going out and buying it.
Lijiang is a very famous city, so there are many big 5-star hotels, but I think it is a much more comfortable hotel than the big chain hotels. The price is much cheaper though.
Anyway, this is a highly recommended hotel. 5 stars are not enough!!

The newly opened hotel is also very clean and comfortable. When the weather is good, you can see the snow-capped mountains on the roof of the rooftop. It is very beautiful. The boss is also very nice. This is a great inn. I highly recommend it! I will stay there next time I come to Shuhe. The pillows, quilts and mattresses are all very good. This accommodation experience is great!

GGuest UserWe thoroughly enjoyed our 7 night stay at Another Residence. From the free airport pickup/dropoff to the tea tastings and staff who go above and beyond. The location is right in the heart of Shuhe old Town and our Garden room was cozy and very peaceful. The room was rustic, large and clean and we spent large parts of the day simply chilling here. There is even a dedicated tea drinking area in the room to try puer tea daily. The island bar/cafe is a beautiful setting to have breakfast or an afternoon tea by the water. There are also multiple places indoor and outdoor to brew up tea provided by the residence. We were left alone to do as we pleased but any questions were answered immediately- such as ways to find the old tea horse path. We travelled as a couple but this is a great place for groups or families wanting to soak in this peaceful environment. Hopefully we can come back soon!

WWaltersThe hotel is a little away from the old town (about 20 mins drive), but it is near the exit from the highway, for those driving in. The area is still under construction, so lacks charm. The first impression of the lobby also does not give off a very classy vibe. It is an enormous hanger with lots of stuff dotted around, and no clear flow. There is also a crappy tea shop shoved into the corner that looks like it is taken from a cheap, regional Chinese airport. So not the greatest check in impressions.
The hotel is really new, so the corridors and rooms are in great shape, and well up to standard for the money. We were also able to pay 138 RMB each for the full dinner buffet in the exec lounge, which was delicious, and had a great range of foods.
Good view of Yulong snow mountain from the hotel too.
There are some rough around the edges parts in common areas, but the hotel parts are very nice, and recommended.

GGuest UserIt was an excellent and relaxing trip. the Boutique Inn where I stayed for 8 days was fantastic; the owner was very helpful and helped me to arrange local attractions. he also ensured that I was safe since I was alone travelling to Lijiang. The Inn where I stayed was very safe and the people were very friendly. I will book the same Inn to stay again next year as I have plans to visit Shangalila. Yunnan is such a zen, relaxing, with great scenic and no air pollution! :)
