Hotels in Shuhe Old Town, Lijiang

A belated review. This hotel is located near Shuhe Ancient Town, about a ten-minute walk away. It's next to the Pullman Hotel and offers a very quiet and peaceful environment. As for the hotel facilities, I personally think the owner is quite thoughtful and is striving to emulate the tastes of first-tier brands. Therefore, the hotel is unlike many newer hotels these days. However, times change, and it seems that the high-cost amenities of international brands are being surpassed by the latest domestic alternatives (which are still new, just not as high-tech as many hotels today). This may have been unexpected at first. I still admire the hotel's design. The courtyard is stunning. Cleanliness and comfort are quite acceptable. The service is also very pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for those who seek a quiet retreat after a busy day. Waking up in the morning and quietly sipping tea in the courtyard is such a delight.

The rooms in the inn are clean and tidy, and the decoration is classical and elegant. The young man treated me warmly and helped me carry my luggage. I was very touched. The five-star service and experience are unmatched. If you want to book a hotel in Jimei, you can choose this one without any hesitation. It is absolutely impeccable.

This enchanting courtyard boasts a truly magical ambiance. It's spotless, well-maintained, and fully equipped with all amenities. The host thought of every detail, even thoughtfully providing sleep masks, disposable mouthwash, and individual sachets of hand cream. The decor is unique and stylish, and the personalized butler service was incredibly attentive. A delicious, hearty breakfast was served to brighten our mornings, and its location is fantastic – just a short walk from Shuhe Ancient Town's main street!

The hotel itself is truly beautiful. Our lakeside suite offered lovely views of the hotel's artificial lake, where we enjoyed watching the cygnets gracefully swim – it was incredibly serene. Jennifer provided exceptional service. Another major plus was the incredibly spacious suite, and visiting during the off-season offered excellent value for money. Overall, our hotel experience was fantastic. As expected from a five-star hotel, the bedding was incredibly luxurious; both the mattress and duvet were wonderfully soft and comfortable. There were also plenty of activities, making it easy to spend our entire stay enjoying the hotel's facilities. We'll definitely be back!

This is my second time staying at this hotel. My last visit was six years ago, and I had a very good impression. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied. I was upgraded to a villa for the first two nights after check-in, even though I hadn't booked one. The delivery service was also very timely! The service was excellent. The off-season villa package offered great value. The airport transfer service was incredibly worthwhile, with a Tesla for pickup and drop-off. The afternoon tea was also delightful. The room was incredibly quiet. I stayed for six nights, spending half days exploring, and developed a habit of taking baths and going to bed early. I felt completely rejuvenated, as if all the stress from the daily grind had melted away. It's perfect for those seeking a relaxing and restorative getaway. Light sleepers or those with sensitive nerves will truly find excellent rest in this villa! The hotel is very close to Shuhe Ancient Town, which I actually prefer. I truly love its quiet and less crowded atmosphere. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and I saw little ducks and pigeons every day. It's a slight pity I didn't get to see the snow-capped mountains often due to the recent rainy season, but the environment is truly comfortable. I'd definitely want to stay here again on my next visit. While there were a few minor imperfections, they certainly didn't detract from the overall excellent experience. The good truly outweighed the minor flaws, and the service was attentive yet never intrusive.

The hotel proprietress was very nice. Seeing that there were two of us, she upgraded us to a king room for free. The king room was very spacious and had a bathtub in the bathroom. After a tiring day in the car, it was super comfortable to take a bath in the bathtub when we arrived at the B&B at night. The proprietress also gave us two bathtub mats for free. The B&B has two front and back yards with a kitten in them, which is super cute. The location of the B&B is also very convenient. You can take a taxi directly to the door of the B&B. It is also very quiet when you sleep at night. There is a supermarket and a Meiyajia about 100m away from the B&B, which is very convenient. It is also not far from Baisha Ancient Town and Lijiang Ancient Town.

It truly exceeded my expectations. I usually stay in five-star hotels when traveling with children, considering their safety and hygiene. This time in Lijiang, I wanted to try a homestay, so I blindly booked two rooms for two adults and two children. The front desk was very considerate and upgraded the room. The room was very quiet, clean, and refreshing. Even someone with a nervous breakdown who usually requires a lot of sleep, slept very well. The staff was very friendly, bringing fish food to feed the children every morning and giving them two small fish gifts when we left. We also saw a baby squirrel in the courtyard! I was so happy! Two days after leaving, I realized I had left my shampoo at the hotel, and the hotel was so thoughtful to send it back to me. I was so touched...

Everything was perfect, with the only minor exception being the absence of a restroom in the ground floor lobby. While this lounge area offered sofas, a TV, and a tea set, we generally avoided spending time downstairs due to the lack of a nearby toilet. The two upstairs rooms were perfect: one with twin beds, the other with a king-sized bed. Both were equipped with desks, balconies, and clothes drying racks, and all toilets were bidet-equipped smart models. The hotel was very generous; bottled water was promptly replenished upon request, and tea, snacks, and fresh fruits were readily available in the hotel lobby. Breakfast was excellent and very generous, featuring a good selection of fresh vegetables. We were very satisfied. The hotel gardens were beautiful and perfect for a leisurely stroll after meals. Just a small suggestion for improvement: Although the restaurant closes at 10 PM, some guests were still finishing their meals. Could the TV not be switched off *exactly* at 10 PM? We were watching TV while eating, and it was abruptly turned off. It would be much better to wait until all guests have finished eating and left before turning off the television. Otherwise, it feels a bit rigid and lacks a touch of warmth.

A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Zhang, who went above and beyond to take care of us. He treated us feel like family- always attentive, helpful, and thoughtful in ways that truly touched our hearts. Whether it was helping us plan our day, sharing local tips, or just checking in to see if we needed anything, his kindness and personal assistance made our trip even more special. We were traveling as a family, and this homestay was perfect—safe, peaceful, and full of heart. The rooms were clean and cozy, with all the comforts we needed for a relaxing stay. Each morning, we looked forward to the delicious and healthy breakfast prepared by a lovely auntie, whose cooking added a special touch to our experience. Her warm smile and nourishing meals made us feel truly cared for. The location is ideal—nestled in the historic Shu He Old Town, with easy access to explore the beauty of Lijiang while still offering a quiet retreat to return to each day. We are so grateful for the hospitality and warmth we received. It was more than just a place to stay—it was a home away from home. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking for a meaningful and memorable stay in Lijiang.

The hotel is just next to BaiSha town, super convenient which car can access. Their staff is very kind and detail minded, even call us to remind us for airport pick up service at a special price. And also big surprise for an upgrade room. 小梅is always caring for everything we need all the time. She is shy buy but always shows her care and tried her best to help. Very appreciated. Just a concern about the voice control is not always works so just use back manual button is totally fine. Well done all hospitality and friendly syaff.
