Hotels in Shuhe Old Town, Lijiang

Price was cheap, location is closed to the ancient town but if you are coming in Didi, they cant stop in front of the hotel. Breakfast served with the usual Chinese breakfast also some toast. Generally the hotel room is huge and lovely. The only pull back is the staff who is sitting near the reception always looks very unfriendly and unapproachable. They said the room we book include free tea service but they did not offer it.

We had a lovely stay at Jinmao Purelax Lijiang, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. We were there during early June. The view from the room was amazing. It was wonderful to wake up to the Yu Long Snow Mountain every morning with a cool breeze. Breakfast was a good spread of traditional Chinese fare and international staples. We look forward to having good breakfasts every morning. The staff even packed for us breakfast when we departed earlier than the breakfast time for our day tour of Yu Long Snow Mountain. While overall, it was a good experience, there were some quirks, that we felt were slightly below our expectations befitting a Hyatt branded hotel. There wasn’t a proper mini fridge. We had to request for one. And it was not functioning properly - we eventually had to ask the staff to keep our medical items with their staff who delivered to our doorstep upon request, promptly. The air-conditioning was also controlled centrally and we could not adjust the temperature despite having a controller in our room. We were advised by the staff to keep the netted balcony doors open to let the fresh air in. But it was not possible when we sleep due to the bright light and the room was warm. The other freebies made up for the overall experience at Jinmao. We had a wonderful complimentary photoshoot at Bo Jue Travel Photography studio which was conveniently located within the hotel’s premises. The staff there were friendly, professional and made the photo shoot fun and enjoyable. We upgraded the package as the photographers and DI artists made fantastic work in double quick time. We also had a complimentary Pu’ Er Tea tasting session where we were greeted by a warm and attentive lady, Ah Qing. She was a great conversationalist and we enjoyed her company. We also checked out other features like the petting zoo, indoor swimming pool and the sauna. There are also many family friendly activities to participate in - there are plenty of opportunities to play within the premises! Jinmao Purelax Lijiang may not be the shiniest and newest hotel but this grand dame is a wonderful place for folks of all ages to play, relax and soak in the sights of what Lijiang has to offer.

The hotel owner was very enthusiastic and even treated us to dumplings during the winter solstice. It was so warm! The suite I booked is very suitable for family travel. There is plenty of natural light in the living room, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The space is large, clean and comfortable. There is a courtyard in the hotel which is very pleasant and comfortable. Breakfast is included, which is clean and rich. It is very close to the east gate of the ancient town and it is convenient to call a taxi. There are many restaurants in the ancient town, with good prices and quality! If you come to Lijiang again, you must stay at this hotel again. I am grateful that the people I met in Lijiang are all very nice! praise!

The service of the homestay is great, providing free afternoon tea, luggage pick-up and other services. The bed in the room is also very comfortable. Breakfast provides rice noodles, eggs, corn, etc. Their rice noodles are really delicious! The location is also very convenient, right in Shuhe Ancient Town, with food, drinks and fun! It is also close to tourist attractions-Yulong Snow Mountain, Shaxi Ancient Town, etc.! ps: There is a little golden retriever in the homestay, so healing! Pullman Lijiang offers spacious rooms, but they feel dated. Carpets show wear and the LCD TV looks nearly ten years old—due for an upgrade. Breakfast is what you'd expect from a four‑star international hotel: decent variety and flavour, yet quality could be improved. The hotel sits about 20 minutes by car from Lijiang Old Town and roughly 30 minutes from the high‑speed rail station—convenient for travellers. During my stay, the hotel gifted me a bathrobe. Sadly, it arrived noticeably crumpled and appeared used, which detracted from the welcome. Overall, Pullman Lijiang is comfortable, but it needs attention in several areas.

The boss is super nice. He upgraded our room for free when we arrived at the store. He gave us some snacks every time we went out. The auntie cleaned the room very diligently. The inn's mascot, Jiuyue, a healing dog, is completely online. I highly recommend it.

I was a bit apprehensive about booking a room because it was newly opened. Shortly after placing my order, I received a very welcoming call from the owner. I was concerned about formaldehyde issues in the new location, but upon inquiry, I was told that the renovations were completed before the ***** New Year and only recently opened in mid-May. The owner also carefully explained the weather in Lijiang, transportation routes, and the location of the property. He was always available to answer all my questions and felt very friendly. Upon arrival, I was delighted to find this B&B truly comfortable. All rooms face the snow-capped mountains, and the unobstructed views are stunning. Early risers can watch the sun rise over the Golden Mountain without leaving their rooms. The front desk lady even upgraded my room for free. The new location is very nice, and most importantly, the staff are incredibly friendly. It's very close to Shuhe Ancient Town, a little further from Baisha by car (over ten minutes), but they're always there to drive me to the front desk, so I didn't have to walk. It was very convenient. Due to time constraints, I only stayed for one night, but overall, I loved it and look forward to seeing you next time.

Room is super clean, and mr Yang very helpful.. Electric mattress and air conditioner with heater, so I can stay warm in the room… Water heater super hot, love it! It’s not far away from the north entry on suhe ancient town … so just need to walk around 2 min u may arrive the hotel, and not too worry about dragging luggage on the stone road, let mr Yang know , he can use his stroller to move the luggage … I would love to stay here again next time! Def one of the nicest hostels to stay in! The location is nice in the middle of Ancient Town, not very far from the Lijiang Ancient City which is more crowded. Theres a bus stop nearby that takes to the train station. You can also get a didi. The cafeteria has some food and drinks. The hostel has many areas to relax and socialize, also many activities like live music and games to chat with people. Theres open areas with beautiful sunset view. Theres restaurants around with cheap meals, including breakfasts and local Yunnan coffee. But you can also book some meals at the Hostel for 20/25 yuan. The bathroom is outside in a corridor, in winter it may be a bit cold but its clean. The rooms have nice space for bags and also lockers. The staff and guests are very friendly and helpful. I would love to come back one day!

I really liked this place in Shuhe town. It was peaceful and calm, the garden was very beautiful. It was very refreshing to appreciate the garden from our 2nd floor room. I loved the area where the inn was located. The village is best in the morning with vigorous atmosphere. As the inn was close from the parking lot, it was easy to call didi or take the tour bus. The rooms were very large and comfortable. The bathroom was also very large. There was a floor heating system which was so useful in the winter. All the staffs were friendly and cooperative. Normally we could communicate by wechat as it offers immediate translation. They helped me to reserve a tour to Yulong Mountain. I could hear a lot about tea from the owner as he owns a tea plantation. It was a nice trip, thank you!
