Hotels in Black Dragon Pond, Lijiang

The hotel's ambiance was truly elegant, with thoughtful little details creating a wonderfully warm and inviting atmosphere. Our family room was cozy and comfortable, clearly designed with children in mind – they even provided kids' bathrobes and dedicated toiletries. The beds were very spacious, making it ideal for families with two young children. Breakfast offered a rich variety of options and was served for an extended period. The service was impeccable from start to finish. We were even given a small farewell gift upon check-out, which was a lovely touch. All in all, a truly satisfying experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated our stay here. This hotel seems to be relatively newly renovated (about a year ago), so furnishing and all are pretty fresh. Location of Lyon Hotel is also quite good, a mere 10min walk from Lijiang Ancient City (means away from the crowd and noise during peak season like Jul-Aug when we visited), quick 5min walk to underpass exit 23, a sheltered path with shops leading to Lijiang Ancient City. A tiny caveat is that entrance to hotel is on a one-lane street and taxis may drop you off at the main road instead. However, it’s a very short 1-2min walk from the main road to so it didn’t bother us. Room itself was comfortable and sufficient. We’ll miss the automatic flush toilet which is super clean and strong. Amenities are great too, sheets and towels are clean, bed is fluffy. If you’re staying multiple days, might have to verbally request for daily room cleaning, but the staff and counter are always very helpful in coordinating. Hotel has nice amenities like rooftop mountain viewing point with photo spots (if weather is good), a games room with automatic mahjong table and poker cards, tea area where boss / staff sometimes chill at, and a nice lobby with some fresh fruits and tea for self service. There is also a laundry room for washing and drying clothes. Breakfast was a humble spread. You can order mixian during breakfast and the kitchen lady was nice enough to accommodate our vegetarian request! The lady boss also shows up every morning during breakfast to see if food is alright and to make sure we have enough food. All in all, the most memorable part was how hospitable the boss, lady boss and counter staff are. They welcomed us to enjoy pu’er tea every evening and offered many fresh local fruits that were tasty. It really made our stay much more enjoyable and more welcomed, seeing familiar faces when we return from our daily activities. Would stay here again in future trips to Lijiang!

I took my family and children to Yunnan for a trip during the summer vacation. The scenery and climate in Yunnan are very good, and I was very happy on this trip. I stayed at the front desk manager of the Lige Hotel, Xiao Zeng, who was very friendly to us. It was a pleasant trip! The breakfast was pretty good. A very cost-effective hotel. This is simply the best place to stay, to explore Lijiang Old Town and surrounding areas. * Overall - beautiful boutique hotel based on traditional Naxi architecture. Looks like a traditional inn, but is actually new and modern. * Rooms - spotlessly clean, with all modern facilities. Light contemporary decor. * Benefits - excellent breakfast, complimentary welcome drink, complimentary welcome fruit platter, complimentary afternoon tea & desserts, complimentary nightcap plum wine and light dessert. Daily complimentary laundry. Unlimited soft drinks in room fridge. * Service - this is where the Dublin really stands out. The best service we've experienced in China, and most likely the best ever. The staff all work as a well trained team to make you feel at home from the moment you check in. A special shout out to Xiao Du! * Location - Another great standout. Literally steps from the front door (next to the small restaurant on the right) there are a set of steps down to the canal. From there, just follow the canal to the Water Wheel and Lijiang Old Town north gate. Along the way is a large lively night market. You can also step down to the main road just outside and walk down a lively street full of food options. Pro Tip : Ask hotel staff how to get to the restaurant that is in the last picture below. Delicious Naxi food! Overall : Best value, best location and best service in Lijiang!

The hotel is 10 min walking distance away from the old ancient town of Lijiang, there are some restaurants around which are very nice. The Black Dragon Pool is 5 min away which is very nice. The rooms were clean and staff was friendly although they couldn’t speak English. The rooms have new and modern amenities which might seem nice but in our experience, some of them don’t work well or maintenance is required. The bathtub leaked water all over the room and the bathtub walls were filled with water which made the bathtub very cold. Some lights and appliances were not working. However overall a nice stay, nice views on the third floor

We stayed two nights and were met at the airport. A butler was waiting at the entrance upon arrival, so we didn't have to carry our luggage. The accommodations were excellent, very close to Black Dragon Pond Park (a 5-minute walk) and boasting a direct view of the Golden Mountain. Every evening, we were served white fungus and red date soup. We had free drinks from the refrigerator. The afternoon tea was also very varied. Breakfast included porridge, glutinous rice balls, and noodles.

Pushing the window to see the snow-capped mountains, living is more healing than the scenery The hotel is never a simple place to stay, but also the entrance to experience Lijiang life. I chose it for the last two days of this trip, not only to draw a complete end to the journey, but also to leave warm memories~ Adjacent to the ancient city but not disturbed, lively and quiet just balanced. 📍 The location is absolutely: • Just beside the big waterwheel in the ancient city, go out for 10 minutes and go straight to eat, saving the trouble of taking a taxi • Backed by Xiangshan and Heilongtan Park, take a walk in the morning to inhale oxygen, full of fresh greenery 🏨 The homestay has its own highlights (even the details are poking people!): • There is an elevator! You don’t need to climb the stairs for luggage, it’s too friendly to lazy people and people with a lot of luggage. • There is a coffee shop + observation deck hidden on the roof, drinking afternoon tea and watching the snow-capped mountains in a daze, time slows down • Intelligent customer control in the whole house, you can open and close curtains and adjust the lights when you move your mouth, and the sense of technology is full. • The details are super intimate: free library, gym, tea room, comfortable and comfortable living 📸 Check-in point for film: 1. Stayed here for 4 nights and 3 days with a family of 4. Arrived at night 10pm+, and the staff of Ju She The House (Inn)were actively checking with us on where we are and if we would require any assistance in carrying the luggage’s to the inn. The room was beautiful, spacious and clean. And the customer service and support provided by the lovely staffs of Ju She was also top notch. They even made extra effort to help prepare some simple and early breakfast for us when we had days whereby we had to set off from the inn very early in the day to sightsee. They had a chat group that includes some staff of the inn, in which we could freely and easily request for any assistance when needed, and the staff were all very nice and polite when assisting us. They also had daily complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea and a small Chinese dessert soup with reminders in the chat group, which was a very lovely and sweet addition to our stay at the inn. Will definitely come back to stay again when we come to yunnan for our holidays. Kudos to all the friendly and lovely staff at Ju She The House. :)

When we started to get into the hotel, we were all impressed with the atmosphere. It is full of art and high quality decoration. The front staff provided really good service during our stay from the first day of checking in until the day of checking out. The room we stayed is nice and clean with plenty of sunlight from the wide window. Bathroom and toilet is all modern. The hotel has two buildings. You can enjoy the rooftop view at the top of one of the hotel buildings. On the clear day, you can have a good photo with Yulong Snow Mountain as a background. The hotel is also in a walking distance to Lijiang Ancient Town with a lot of restaurants during the way. You can easily enjoy the lively ancient town and back to have a good and quiet sleep at the hotel. One of the best thing at the hotel that we really want to tell everyone is the breakfast. There are so many choices of the food that we can enjoy without boring for our 4 days at the hotel. Every famous food that we should have in Lijiang, we can find it here. We would like to tell that this hotel is one of the best hotels in our travelling life.
