**WARNING: NOT A SMOKE-FREE HOTEL**
This accommodation falsely claims to be smoke-free. My sister and I checked in after a long day in the mountains, seeking a restful night. Initially, the staff was friendly, but things took a turn around 10 PM when a strong smell of smoke filled our room, making it unbearable.
Despite being exhausted, we endured the smoke until 6:30 AM. We contacted trip.com’s customer service, but they provided misleading information. Mr. Yang, the manager, was smoking in the lobby and denied the hotel’s smoke issues, blaming other guests instead. This dishonesty is appalling, especially with ashtrays visibly placed throughout the hotel.
The hotel refused to refund us, claiming they were not given sufficient time to address the problem caused by their own staff. As we checked out, they offered a free upgrade, but their attitude was dismissive, and they did not assist with our luggage.
If you're visiting Lijiang, avoid this dishonest hotel and its misleading smoke-free guarantee.

Very comfortable property that looks better than the pictures. The bed and pillows were really comfortable and towels were thick and fluffy. Unfortunately I couldn’t double lock the main door and one of the sinks were leaking, thankfully I was traveling alone and used only the other sink which was absolutely fine. Temperature and pressure of the water wasn’t easy to control and was inconsistent. Tried to draw a bath as it was really cold and after half an hour, not even a quarter of the tub was filled. Other than that, the staff was very helpful and prepared a bag of breakfast items in advance for me when he found out that I would be heading out to the mountains very early the next day. Location was super ideal to check out the beautiful old town. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

This place is excellent for the price. The room is cozy, and the room service is top-notch. If you’re a foreigner and don’t understand Chinese, there’s Tom, who can guide you with perfect English. The places he recommended were spot on as well

Tom arranged for railway pick up. He ensure we are taken care of, constantly text us to check if we need afternoon tea, need help with transport or any services needed of him. We feel so at home at this nice hotel. Thank you Tom!

Room is true to picture, with a cozy ambience and comfortable king size bed 😍 The butler, Tom is really friendly and helpful. He assisted to book the jade snow mountain tour package and the performance tickets despite the short notice. He's fluent in English too, so it's good for tourists who don't speak Mandarin.

My parents and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The accommodations were comfortable, and the service was exceptional. The breakfast, afternoon tea, and drinks bar (limited to coffee, sodas, etc.) were all delicious. Plus, the location right next to Lijiang Old Town made everything very convenient.
We’re especially grateful to Tom for his outstanding hospitality. He helped arrange a tour company for our trip to Snow Mountain and even prepared snacks for us to take along, knowing we had to leave the hotel early. His thoughtfulness made our experience truly memorable.

I recently stayed at this charming hotel inside Lijiang Ancient City, and it was an excellent experience. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well equipped with modern amenities, including smart-controlled features like lighting and temperature, which made my stay both convenient and high-tech.
The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room was spacious, allowing me to truly relax. The hotel itself is tastefully designed, blending modern luxury with traditional aesthetics, which added to the overall charm of being in such a historic location.
Although you need to drag your luggage through the ancient city to reach the hotel, there are helpful staff available to assist, making the process much easier. Considering the quality of the hotel and the attentive service, it was definitely value for money.
If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-designed, and tech-friendly stay right in the heart of Lijiang Ancient City, I highly recommend this hotel!
