The owner is super friendly even though there’s a language barrier. I stayed in the 10 bed dorm, which was good. As the weather was cold and rainy, i found it a bit hard to warm up in this hostel. The main common area is outside and there’s only a small room where the cats and the dogs live. I’m not 100% sure if you are supposed to stay there. The dorm was also pretty cold, but considering the price there’s nothing to complain about :)

It just stank so much like old car piss, and garbage was lying around everywhere... The owner was very friendly though!

The room for 12 people was quite small and the bed was quite hard and small. The host didn't give me the key number and when I returned I had to call because the door was closed. If there is a door code, they are the ones who have to give it to you as soon as you arrive. The room had no door and insects came in like they were in their own home. I would recommend that you look for another hostel. The only positive thing is that it is close to the old city and two km from the bus station.

The location is good, just one bus ride from the station. There is a large courtyard. The staff cleans it every day, so it's very clean. I'll stay here again when I come to Lijiang!

In the new city, you can suddenly purchase the necessities you need.
There was a coin laundry machine right next to the hotel, allowing for quick laundry.
It feels like I am staying with friends and family.
It is also recommended for those who like cute animals.
