We really liked our stay at the Mansui Snow Mountain Hostel. Breakfast was Chinese, but good. It was different every morning. The room was okay. Mosquitoes get inside easily and can be a pain in the ass in the night. Mosquito nets would be helpful. The bathroom wasn’t “soundproof”, which made it very uncomfortable to go to the toilet. There was a huge round whole in the wall to the bathroom. From one of the beds you even had a perfect view of the toilet. That was weird.
The service was okay, almost a little too much (always asking where we would go to eat to get a provision(?), taking us to a bar to pay roundabout 100 € for twelve bottles of beer - no, thanks, too expensive!). In the end we had a beer in a restaurant for 20 RMB. When we arrived, we were invited to have a tea ceremony, which was really nice. The nicest thing (service) was to dress up in traditional clothing offered by the hostel, and do a photo shoot by ourselves in the old town. Thanks again for that, staff of the Mansui Hostel! We had a lot of fun.
