This was a lovely room on the outskirts of Baisha ancient town. It's about a 5 minute walk to the ancient town. There is a very useful supermarket across the road which sells snacks, alcohol, soft drinks, milk, toothpaste etc. The view of Snow Mountain was beautiful, although thanks to the horrible weather, it kept disappearing behind the clouds! The room is very peaceful and quiet, and although it's on a fairly busy road, we couldn't hear the traffic. The mattress was a bit hard and lumpy (not unusual for China) and we did have a few aches and pains from it in the mornings. The only complaint I have about the room was that the bathroom wasn't cleaned properly (the sink was dirty and greasy and I could see toothpaste residue on the edges of it, and the shower outlet had a lot of hair in it from previous occupants). The whole room was also a bit dusty. The room had a kettle and a tea set but there was no tea in the tea container.

We really liked this hotel. If you're looking to get into the countryside and away from the craziness of lijiang, I'd highly recommend to stay at this place out in baisha. There are lovely open courtyards with lots of places to sit.
The room is quite basic with strong WiFi. For the price, I wish we would have been provided with bottles of water in our room. Overall, not a bad stay at all.

Advantages: proactive contact, late check-in at almost 12 o'clock, good attitude. I only stayed for one night and they kept my luggage for half a day. There are many beautiful flowers in the yard. Convenient transportation at the entrance of the ancient town.
Disadvantages: The soundproofing is not good. We can hear the neighbors talking in the middle of the night. There are no disposable slippers. The toilet paper is almost used up and not new. There is a peculiar smell in the room. We had to put up with it all night in our clothes.
I checked in very late and woke up the next morning to find that my pillow was full of holes
