Stayed here with my pregnant wife and parents. When we first entered the room looked okay and the manager was nice. However once settled in the room we saw that everything was very dirty, (toilet bowel not cleaned), dusty everywhere, dead bugs etc. Later my parents tried to have a bath but no hot plug in bath, manager said to stuff towel in hole! They tried that then no hot water. Later still trying to sleep AC not working. Manager did come and try and fix but could not. Had to reset AC every hour all night and even when on it was still too hot. Barely any sleep. Also windows could not open as bug screen broken! (see photos). One window was held shut with wire! In morning parents also got no sleep as room started stinking of smoke in night and their mattress was so horrible (springs sticking out). Our mattress was fine but I tried theirs and you could not sleep well on it. Also their bathroom light would not turn off all night! Shower water spraying outside ways! Also stains on mattress and no mattress protectors. So after all this we decided to leave the hotel and not stay the addition 3 nights we had booked. We spoke to the manager at 8am that morning. He apologized and said we could get a full refund for the next 3 nights (we didn't ask for refund for the night we stayed). A few hours later I got a message from Trip saving the refund had been refused. We spoke manager and he said try again, we did and it go refused. This started hours of emails, phone calls over the next week to try and get a refund. Finally got it sorted but not without huge effort. Conclusion: Avoid this place for this price. If it was 200 yuan a night it would be acceptable but the asking price is more than double that and you expect the rooms to be at least clean for that. Also boss refusing the refund was just too much.

TOTALLY DIFFERENT HOTEL FROM WHAT WAS BOOKED Booked said hotel, but was moved to 悦庭轻奢客栈 with zero notice. We initially didn't notice as we booked a car from Shangri-La to Lijiang so our driver communicated with the homestay regarding drop-off/pick-up point. Upon check in, we noticed the rooms were vastly different. But just told ourselves probably we just got unlucky and booked one of those hotels that used fake photos. But at night, when I tried to navigate back to our stay (using the address from the booking) it took us to the original hotel we booked. That was when we realised we really were placed in another hotel than the one we booked. We went to confront the boss at 悦庭轻奢客栈 who told us lots of ********. The booked hotel belongs to his friend. The booked hotel is older, theirs is newly built. And he said "so when Malaysians come and book, we will put them at our hotel here" "you can see that it's a different level" (trying to say theirs is better than the booked hotel). He even challenged us to check the prices as he said his is definitely more expensive than the one we booked. So yeap, we got moved without notice, got bullshitted with no apology when confronted, stayed in a hotel of lower value than the one we booked, and the best part is when he kept saying they just opened but our bathroom ceiling had leaks :) Oh he said we could have unlimited bottles of water and whatever bathroom/room amenities we needed and that shows "the different level of treatment that we Malaysians/Singaporeans get" basically trying to justify his dishonest act. Got to admit his hotel on its own is not too bad, but the fact that we were cheated is not cool. And so his 'friend' is gonna have a bad review.

Overall, my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The smell of cigarettes permeated the room and there was no noise isolation, making it difficult to relax. There were no curtains on the door, so the room was brightly lit at night, making it difficult to sleep. Ultimately, I had to cut my stay short due to the unsatisfactory conditions. This villa has had better days and really doesn’t look like the photos. Anyone looking to book should manage their expectations - it’s a small villa and from what I can tell, family run so you’re not going to get 4 star type service (closer to 2 star). Much of the hardware is old, stained and dirty. Even the glass cups had marks on them. I’ve never been anywhere where the towels have threads loose. The free pickup was arranged but it took 3 separate people to message me on WeChat to get this done and with not the easiest instructions from the driver. No daily cleaning - had to request for trash removal and towels on the second day. Even with a 4 night stay, and no where to hang the towel to dry, you have to ask for new towels. Toilets sort of flush after a few times. Almost impossible to get the right temperature water for the shower - it appears that when someone else is using it in the building, it impacts your temperature. Light bulbs were broken or the lamp watt so low that it makes no difference having it on. On the positive side, the location is quite good, walking distance into the old city and buses. My room was quiet and did not have cigarettes smell which was very appreciated. Highly recommend taking the 101 bus (20 min walk to the stop) for 15 yuan direct to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.

Beautiful hotel. Owner is very helpful. Location is a bit tricky but very nice. Its in front of the lake.

Great location, right in the town and close to the main road if you need to walk. Beautiful view from the room!

Good place to stay in Lijiang as it is located not in the centre of old town but close to it so it is quite quiet. The room could have been maintained better to keep it decent.

Beautiful place and easy access from the street. The shower was getting hot suddenly.

The room is very good. There is a lake in front of the hotel. The view from the window is very beautiful. The boss is also very nice and helps with the luggage. There is also a pool table on the first floor. You can go down and play pool when you are free.

The room is very comfortable and clean. This accommodation experience is very pleasant. The boss is very enthusiastic and easy to communicate with. He also helped recommend a tour group for Yunnan (the small group experience is also good)
