Our stay at Arula-J hotel exceeded all of our expectations! After being picked up by their driver we were brought to the hotel, which is incredibly beautiful! It’s in the middle of Lijiang, but it’s a haven of peace. If you go through the magical side door you are in the middle of old town, which makes the location perfect. The rooms are stunning and super luxurious, you can feel the attention and love in every detail. But what made our stay extra special are the people in this hotel. The lovely ladies at the front desk, the cute people from housekeeping, the sweet people at the coffee bar and ofcourse the amazing bosses really did everything to make our stay the best experience possible. It was my birthday during our stay and they did everything to make it the best day ever, and they succeeded! From arranging shows for us, to giving restaurant tips (and even walking us there), arranging a Dongba paper making workshop and helping us discover local tea and coffee everything they did was done so carefully and to perfection! The breakfast and coffee/tea bar were both also really delicious! We were so sad we had to leave this hotel and can’t wait to come back one day! We give this hotelThank you for everything!

Fantastic hotel that I would pickagain in a heartbeat! Not only is the hotel very stylish, designed and decorated very thoughtfully. The surrounding is very pleasant and soothing in midst of a buzzing street. But where my biggest compliment goes to is the service. The staff at Arula J is not only one but many extra miles to make the stay an unforgettable one. No wish was left unfulfilled! I would definitely stay here again next time!

Such a fantastic discovery in Lijiang! We stayed 3 nights in this new B & B and its decor, service and security all equivalent to hotel standard. It is in a super location. Moreover the boss was very generous and gave us complimentary drinks.

Excellent location right within the Lijiang old market, with the back door exit leading right into the town. Lovely concierge service that reached out earlier prior to check-in offering their (free) airport transfer to and fro, made our journey much more at ease especially with seniors. Really thoughtful staff that helped us out end-to-end, even with supper orders, breakfast, and greeting us in a friendly and warm manner whenever we pass the concierge.
Layout of the room was super spacious with nice bathroom amenities too

Very well located hotel at the edge of Lijiang Ancient Town providing walking distance to main attractions and also tranquility for a good night sleep. Room was well equipped and very clean. We really enjoyed the great service providing tips and help through WeChat and offering free laundry service. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Lijiang Ancient Town.

I booked a room for a friend. After checking in, he was very satisfied and asked me to give a good review. The hotel did a great job in parent-child experience and interaction with sika deer. The hotel has a cute sika deer, which is definitely a highlight. The children were very excited when they saw the sika deer. They took carrots to feed them. Seeing the sika deer eating carrots docilely, the children's faces were filled with happy smiles. The close interaction with the sika deer gave the children an opportunity to enjoy nature. It was really a wonderful experience, especially for families with children. It is a paradise for parent-child vacation. Recommended Recommended
