Location is great! It’s just a quick walk from the old town, and there are convenience stores, places to eat, and a laundrette super nearby. The capsule beds were a comfortable size with a small shelf, light, and power socket. There’s a big common area, everything was clean, and the bathrooms were some of the nicest hostel bathrooms I’ve ever seen.
Only negative thing is the bathrooms are located in a separate building to the bedrooms, so you have to go outside to get to them. I’m sure this wouldn’t be an issue in the summer, but while I was there it was cold and rained almost non-stop, so it was a bit inconvenient :(

Location wise. The host is nice even though we cannot communicate in English. The toilet is clean and looks nice. 4 toilets are shared with females and males so it's kind of awkward but I still feel safe in China. Ground floor room for the male and upstairs floor for the female room. It will be more convenient if there is a toilet on each floor. One of the toilet's doors is kind of hard to unlock so I get stuck in the toilet for almost 5 minutes just to try to unlock the door, so be careful. I probably will stay here again but will book a room with 4/6 beds will be better.

Room
Clean bed space with curtain for privacy. In the space you get plug sockets, lights and shelves. Room door has a lock. I don't think I saw an air con but it wasn't too hot so not an issue during my stay (i'm sure if you asked they might be able to help). This is not a criticism but a suggestion to make it even better - hooks at the end of the bed to hang stuff would be very useful. Pretty thin mattress as seems common in Chinese hostels, but probably one of the comfier sleeps I've had. forgot to take pictures of the room but it is just standard kind of capsule hostel type set up
Bathroom
Nice and clean. A few bathrooms each with a shower, squat toilet, sink and hair dryer. As per the online description, there are no toiletries. Around the corner it also appears you may be able to do your washing here but not too sure.
Location
Very close to the ancient town but also close to the residential area if you want to see that side as well. Make sure you're on the right side of the fence when you walk down haha. Around 40mins from train station by bus, not too bad (its easiest if you get the tourist bus)
Host
Seems great for Chinese visitors, maybe a little awkward for international visitors due to language barrier, but you get what you make of the situation. Seems to be a BBQ in the evening. They were kind and let me leave my luggage before I checked in and after I checked out (awkward train times)

The owner 老板娘 & 老板 is very accomodating - they will treat u like family. Great thing abt the hostel:-
- location: near to lijiang ancient city southern gate (5 mins walk), bua stop, shops, laundry etc
- hospitality 5 ⭐️: they go out of their way to accomodate
- bbq night: they will held a bbq every night for travellers

Chepaest hostel but it did not disappoint. Bed and everything was clean. Pillow and comforter was provided as well. You can wash your clothes yourself with minimal charge and hang it there to dry. Around 10mins away to the old town (I0mins walk). They can arrange tour for your as well. Recommend!

Very close to the old city. The dorms are nice, but the beds are very stiff. The bathroom is fairly clean but the shower is basically over the squatting toilets. The staff is nice and helpful.
