They came so close to getting 5 stars, but there were a couple of major snafus that seem like ongoing issues. Cosmetically, the place is very pleasant, and my room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It's right on a highway but set back off the road, so it's very quiet. Breakfast is basic, but fine, and the coffee is fresh and good.
My first morning there, when I started the shower, barely any water was coming out. Then after a few minutes, the water completely stopped! When I told the front desk clerk about it, she said that's what happens when too many people try to shower at once. Um, this is a hotel. Most people are going to want to shower in the morning. The water pressure was like a firehose the next 2 days after that. Very odd.
The second issue was with the elevator. Someone got stuck in it on my second night, and then it was out of service for the entire next day. I was fine with the stairs, but I imagine not everyone would be. I know this kind of thing can happen with any hotel, but going back through the reviews on this site, it seems like it was not the first time.
So if it weren't for those pretty significant shortcomings, I would recommend this place as a good value for a comfortable stay.
