Very disappointing visit full of very poor customer service examples I’m afraid. Immediately after ordering we were delivered coffee when there wasn’t time to have made the tea requested. It must be what we irdered as it was for our table?? The toaster arrived it was warm bread. I can give it a little longer but you will lose your cheese. Now we’ve had 60+ years of toasties and never had this comment. So second grilling wasn’t much better. See photo. We were abruptly told that the hot water to dilute the builders brew would be brought when the other girl found some time. Sorry can’t recommend and won’t be back. Shame as the grounds are in a superb setting. Staff training urgently required.

We had an excellent night's sleep at the Motel. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and spacious. The bed had lovely crisp cotton bedding and was very comfortable. We didn't eat in the Mill because the menu was very limited, although fine for a lunch. Sadly the breakfast was a let down. Having it in the cafe wasn't a problem. It's in a lovely setting. Unfortunately we asked for two well done bacon sandwiches, a sausage and tomato sandwich and one full breakfast. Well done bacon doesn't mean dried up and rock hard. The sausage sandwich arrived as bacon and had to be sent back. The egg on the breakfast had been burst and an uncooked tomato sliced, doesn't really go with a cooked breakfast. Sort out the breakfast and it will be a big improvement. It hasn't put us off going again.

Received a phone call from the property at 7pm on the night of the stay to claim the room was not available due to a leak. The room should have been available to check into from 3pm however this was the first time I was contacted, very poor customer service. Offered to change accommodation to a clamping pod or look elsewhere for somewhere to stay. Obviously at such short notice and needing somewhere for the night messing around trying to find alternative accommodation not practical so took the pod. It was a bed for the night with a shared toilet and shower, nothing much more to say. When I checked in the staff seemed to know nothing about a leak in the original room??? No clear directions for use of the pod given, merely took full payment and sent on my way.

We were staying for the night and had a good time in the pup the Mill. Austin and Izzy were greate host's, fun, fast an professional. The pup is saparate from the hotel accommodation so no noise if you want to go in early. We will come back next time.

Very comfortable room. Very quiet so a good night's sleep. Very limited dinner options and more limited when there's no chef. Who needs a chef for fish & chips? Breakfast over 1 hr wait due to poor staffing. Very limited breakfast options also.

I booked this hotel in August as I have a wedding to go to next year. 6 weeks after booking, the hotel have cancelled my booking as there is a wedding on the date I am due to stay - the hotel have known about this wedding since July, but let me make a booking. Fortunately, I had already made a booking with another hotel as I had read a previous review where a room had been cancelled.

Absolute disgrace Not one clean table, incorrect prices displayed, only 3 staff on duty, Basically the place is run by students or young servers, no stock hardly any ice creams left. Most if not all tables are dirty piled high with pots no sign of them getting cleared Disgusting will NOT be coming again

Charnock Farm is in a great location for us. We have family in Leyland and this is so handy just off the motorway though it us peaceful and has lovely surroundings with a lake, ducks, ponies and a donkey a very nice setting. Rooms are spacious, smart, clean and comfortable. Paid for a good breakfast separately in the cafe. Will definitely stay again.
