A Beautiful house in a Beautiful location of Askrigg in the Dales. We enjoyed two peaceful nights sleep in this spotlessly clean house. A hearty breakfast awaited us in the morning, nothing was too much trouble for the hosts.Thank you Barry and Anne.

Thornsgill House is a very fine b and b. Comfortable, immaculately clean, with a nice position at the top of the village of Askrigg. Barry and Anne were lovely hosts, friendly and informative, for whom nothing was too much trouble. A very tasty and beautifully presented breakfast completed a great stay. Highly recommended!

This delightful B&B in a beautiful Edwardian House which retains most of its original features, but with all the modern facilities you would expect from a prestigious B&B. Our ensuite room with a nice outlook was well appointed; with a coffee and tea making tray facility, which was restocked each morning, it had one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The breakfast menu choice was extensive and had “something” for every taste, the quality of the food then presented was excellent. On a personal note, Anne and Barry are delightful, engaging and sincere hosts who obviously take great pride in their house and the offering they provide for their guests. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this as your place to stay when in the Wensleydale area

I was attending an event in nearby Hawes and stayed for two nights. Anne and Barry made me feel very welcome after a long drive. My room was nice and airy and well equipped with coffee and tea making facilities and a nice shower. Breakfast ordered for the next day I headed out to eat in the nearby Crown Inn Pub which was very welcoming and good value. My event in Hawes was a day long event and I returned by taxi that evening. After breakfast on my last day Barry very kindly took me to pick my car up in Hawes, great service and lovely friendly hosts I would definitely recommend Thornsgill for a stay.

An outstanding B and B. Fabulous hosts, fabulous local food for breakfast and lovely rooms. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. Fluffy towels, bath robes and fresh milk in rooms for teas and coffee. Will be back in a flash next time we are here in beautiful Askrigg

Barry and Ann are absolute gems; such a delightful couple and host/hostess. From the moment we arrived they were so welcoming and engaging. Our room was quite comfortable, and the bathroom was large and luxuriously appointed. The breakfast offerings were varied and delicious. Barry was very helpful in making dinner reservations for us, as well. Highly recommend!

Barry and Ann were the perfect hosts during my stay, really comfortable bed and the best breakfast ever. Thornsgill House is right in the centre of Askrigg and (very) conveniently situated for the Crown public house, walks and visits. Also open over Christmas! Thanks to Barry and Ann for a lovely stay.

This was our third visit to Thornsgill House, and was just as amazing as the previous times. Its location at Askrigg--in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park--is the perfect base to discover the stunning countryside of this area. Not only that, our hosts--Ann and Barry--always make our stay at Thornsgill House truly enjoyable, and like a home away from home. They make it a perfect stay for us. We thoroughly recommend Thornsgill House!
