The hotel is five stars. I stayed here 3 times now and had all different rooms. All rooms were amazing and very spacious. Attention to detail is key here. The GM John welcomed my family as we were coming home. Haywood’s and Taps are 2 fantastic dining options. Definatly coming back and referring to all our friends. Jan

This hotel stay has been perfect from beginning to end! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Gloria and Leora, who welcomed us and made us feel so at home. This charming hotel is in the middle of everything. The food and service are top-notch and more. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

Perfectly located in the heart of historic Lexington, walking distance to everything. The hotel consists of a few different properties, each very charming, with luxury high-end touches. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, and the staff was always welcoming and kind. 10/10 would return.

Our room was not ready at check-in time, we had to wait an extra 30 minutes for housekeeping. The staff seemed a little flustered by this. Usually not a problem, but we were on a tight schedule for that evening so it did disrupt the day slightly. HOWEVER, the room itself was absolutely gorgeous. I love the decor and it's dripping in luxury. The bed, from the duvet to the pillows were extravagant and the little elements from stunning wallpaper to the heated towels and floors were chef's kiss.

Another EXCEPTIONAL stay . My daughter will be a student at W&L in the fall . We came for a two night visit . It was our second stay and it didn’t disappoint. Room 30 was BEAUTIFUL - from the wallpaper and furnishings to the luxurious bathroom ! We enjoyed ending both of our evenings chatting at the cozy TAPS! ( food was beyond yummy )! This little boutique hotel has it all - I am looking forward to making many memories here with our family the next four years .

This hotel was a delightful surprise and I can honestly say I loved every aspect. I stayed in room 10 which has a HUGE private deck. The room decor was beautiful, the bed was very comfortable, there was a white noise machine, and the heated floors in the bathroom were marvelous. The complimentary breakfast was also better than expected. Eggs, toast, bacon all sound simple but the bacon was cooked to perfection, the eggs were fantastically cheesy and the butter and preserves for the toast were well above average. I passed through on a work trip but already trying to plan when I can come back with my husband.

A favorite stop a couple times a year as we go north and south. Taps bar is cozy and dinner is always good but this last visit we discovered it closed on Sunday. Everything is so enjoyable with the exception of breakfast. I'm inclined to say it is maybe being short staffed as the only waitress was really hustling but the coffee wasn't hot and the toast burnt. Certainly not enough to influence another stay but room for improvement.

This stunning hotel is rich in history, offfering well-appointed rooms that provide a comfortable stay. Having breakfast just downstais was a delightful convenience. The atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, like being with family and friends. The staff members were all incredicly friendly and attentive.

Everything about this place is wonderful. The rooms in the Livery are beyond gorgeous with details (bedding, chairs, wallpaper, heated towels and bathroom floor, etc) that truly set it apart. The staff is professional and friendly and truly make you feel welcomed. Kathy and Gloria at the front desk are consummate professionals and were extremely helpful during a very busy parents weekend.
