Boutique Hotel de la Croix-Fédérale

A hotel with lots of character, we love the woodwork, the bathrooms , except one of the stalls the showerhead kept falling. Otherwise very comfortable for the grandmother the two active boys and couple. Highly recommend the view the village spectacular. We are Swiss and proud to show off our beautiful country.

Worst hotel experience in decades of travel. Not as depicted in the description. Parking was a huge mess, had to park across town, dragging luggage a half mile on heavy hills to the hotel and upstairs. If elderly or with any mobility issues whatsoever, this would not have been possible. Not able to get in to eat, restaurant staff was overwhelmed and not helpful. Very, very basic hotel. The icing on top was the morning of checkout, there was no secure place to keep luggage while trekking back to the car, so that was a concern, and they gave me the wrong validation ticket. So, after the long walk and stressing about my luggage, I had difficulty even getting my car. Oh, and they’ll be beating on the door every 15 minutes from 0900 until you leave, although checkout is 1030. This is a hotel which should cater to the spa/relaxation crowd, but I left here much more stressed than I arrived. Switzerland is amazing and every other property I stayed at received 5 stars, but I’d steer clear from this one if you’re hoping for a peaceful vacation stay.

Food was good, however surprising to see how empty the restaurant was, only one other table. Most disappointed to be told that even having ordered wine and soft drinks we were told that they would not give us a jug of water, we had to buy mineral water.

Way to warm. Didn t sleep well. Restaurant of the hôtel close at that Time of the year. Nice breakfast.

Lovely hotel right next to the termal baths with a nice restaurant.

Very nice “so Swiss” hotel : typical rooms with wood and stones, really comfortable. We have chosen the one for family (“…Hutte”) : our children were so happy (secret room for our second child). Perfectly located, very close to the Church and historical village. Small store at 10 meters. For parking, ask the one provided by the hotel (10 CHF a day but really convenient (close to the hotel and to slopes). Last: the boss is really there to help you and facilitate your stay, he proposed us restaurant (he has Swiss and Italian foods) but not forcing us. Really happy regarding our stay. We’ll be back!
