La Stregheria is a truly delightful place to stay. The owners and their staff are charming, friendly and welcoming. They were very forgiving of my poor French and very encouraging as I slowly added to my vocabulary. Our room was stylish with cool, clear and comfortable décor and a cute little balcony looking out to the expansive beach and sea. Breakfast was a delight of fruit, yoghurt, pastries, lovely crusty bread, eggs and bacon/ham and great coffee, making a very good start to our days. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the menu and food was first class. Well coocked and presented and accompanied by a very good wine. The ambience is relaxed and chilled. La Franqui is a wonderful place to slow down and relax in this somewhat unusual spot on the Mediterranean. It retains an unspoilt, laidback and low key feel that is so hard to find anywhere else along the coast. I felt like I had stepped back a few decades to an elusively hippy, happy time and place. A broad sandy beach, lots of water sports options, some cool cafes and restaurants. Let’s hope it doesn’t become another beach with chains of big hotels; it is far too special a place to change in any way.

Der Empfang war sehr unpersönlich. Instruktionen wurden über e-Mail erteilt. Die Zimmer wurden nicht regelmässig gemacht, wie auch das Bad und die Toilette. Da wurde offensichtlich gespart auf Kosten der Gäste. Die Badezimmer sind eng, feucht und darum muffig. Das WiFi im Zimmer war unbrauchbar. Da auch das Telefonnetz in der Gegend schwach ist, ist das für reisende Gäste problematisch. Auf der Homepage werden Parkplätze erwähnt, die zur Verfügung stehen sollen. In Wahrzeit sind es öffentliche Parkplätze; um jeden einzelnen wird gerungen, da in diesem Ort alles sehr eng ist. Das offerierte Fühstück war minimal gehalten. Das hauseigene Restaurant war abends immer geschlossen. Die Chefin lässt sich selten blicken. Die Angestellten higegen sind sehr nett. Wir haben für Ende Mai 5 Nächte reserviert. Leider mussten wir aus privaten Gründen nach 4 Nächten nach Hause. Obwohl das Hotel nur wenig belegt war, kam uns die Chefin nicht entgegen. Es wurden uns alle 5 Nächte verrechnet. Wir sind frustriert abgereist. Kundenorientierung ist hier kein Thema. Nach 9 verschiedenen Hotels auf unserer 4 wöchigen Reise durch Frankreich, war der Aufenthalt Im "La Stregheria" der schlechteste. Wir verstehen die guten Bewertungen nicht.

Les chambres d’hôtes sont dans une jolie petite résidence des années 50. Rénovées avec goût et sans chichi , le confort y est parfait. Les propriétaires sont très sympas et le petit dej bon et copieux. Sans compter que la plage est à 50 m. Bref , une super adresse à La Franqui , qui est sans doute ma plage préférée dans cette partie de la côte.

Nous sommes allé manger un dimanche soir, tout était parfait ! l'accueil, le service et les plats sans oublier le calme du lieu qui est un vrai plus pour nous ! Petit clin d'œil au gérant (46 et 48 ) 🙂 Nous reviendrons sans hésiter ! A bientôt
